𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙅𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙋𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙮 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧? What could he possibly know about acting and plays? Nothing.

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for her. Athena always dreamt of being in a play since she was 5 years old. It was when her father took her to New York to see her first play on Broadway. Right then and there she knew what she wanted. She wanted to star in a play.

She was fascinated by this art. This art that was filled with emotions. One moment it could have you filled with joy and the next it could punch you in the gut. It either made you sad, angry, or both.

Unlike the muggle theater, the wizarding world had shitty plays and interpreted the theatre in an awful way. And even if she wanted to be an actress in the muggle world the ministry of magic wouldn't allow it, there excuse is they don't want to risk the chances of the wizarding world secret to get out. Athena thought that was a pathetic excuse. Might as well say they don't like the muggles because we have magic and they don't.

Athena didn't want a prankster like James ruining the play or taking opportunities from other people who actually liked the theater. And maybe Athena was being to quick to judge but she didn't think so.

Athena still held a grudge against James and his friends for what they did in second year.

It was chilly December morning and all the the students where in the great hall for breakfast. James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter where nowhere to be found that morning. Athena didn't really put any thought into that, only that it was much quieter that morning than any other. So she just carried on with eating breakfast with her friends.

Athena and her friends had finished eating their breakfast and decided to head to class early. But as soon as they exited the great hall they were soaked in red and yellow paint by four screaming boys saying "GRYFFINDOR RULES! and SLYTHERIN LOSE!". Which was followed by four high pitched screaming girls. Then followed by an amused Severus Snape, Evan Rosier, and Lucius Malfoy behind the paint covered girls.

At that exact moment the four boys had realized that the people covered in paint were in fact not Snape, Rosier, and Malfoy but instead four angry Ravenclaw girls who were now covered in paint. James and his friends ended up running off before Professor McGonagall could catch up to them. The paint was cold and gross. And left Athena and her friends with a cold for the next week.

The boys hadn't apologized to the girls, except for Remus Lupin. Which Athena thought was the only sensible one in their little group of friends. He had apologized to them and told them that the paint wasn't meant to be dropped on them but instead on the Slytherins because of the quidditch match that would be going on that night; Gryffindor vs. Slytherin. And that Sirius had accidentally mistaken them for being Slytherins.

Athena had excepted his apology but thought it was bullshit that someone could mistake four girls for three boys. It could've just be that Sirius made a mistake or that he is completely blind or just plainly stupid. Athena thinks Sirius being plainly stupid is the most reasonable answer.

Yet Athena blamed all of that on James. Just James. He was the leader and most likely the one to organize that ordeal. It was clear that the paint was meant to piss off the Slytherins but mainly Severus Snape. His rival enemy.

James had most likely forgotten about that event that happened about five years ago. Athena hadn't. He always tried talking to her and she always ignored him.

Athena waited for James to finish writing his name on the sign up sheet so she could do it too. As she walked up to the sign up sheet and James walked away he winked her. And Athena rolled her eyes. It was a causal fuck boy move, which he was.

"You signing up for the play?"

"Clearly." She said blankly not looking at him.

"Someone's not in the mood to talk."

Athena rolled her eyes. It was a common reflex when around James. "I'm never in the mood to talk to you" she said while finishing up writing her name.

"You know I think we'd make great friends. What do you say?" He said leaning against a wall.

Athena turned around to face him. "Don't you have someone else to anyone other than me? How about Lily Evans? I heard she's your girlfriend maybe you should go annoy her."

James went pink in the face. "She's not my girlfriend...she's just a friend. Besides I'm just trying to be nice to you. You just always got to ruin it, why?"

Now Athena was certain James had forgotten what he did. "Because you embarrassed me and my friends in front of the whole school in our second year."

"What?"

Athena scoffed. "Remember when you were supposed to drop paint on some Slytherins but instead dropped it in a couple of girls? Well one of those girls was me. You were to busy trying to find another way to get back at the Slytherins that you forgot to even apologize to the innocent 12 year old girls who you covered in cold gross paint that got them sick for a week."

"Oh." James finally understood why Athena always rolled her eyes at him, those beautiful brown eyes he thought. "I didn't realize that was you..".

"Me and my friends."

"I'm sorry. I'm really really sorry Athena."

"...thanks, I guess. Even though you wouldn't have apologized if I didn't tell you it was me. You should also probably try and apologize to my friends." She said walking off.

"...what are their names?" James said before she left.

"Zoe, Liv, and Anna."

James made sure to remember those three names. He was upset that he didn't apologize sooner. He was better than this, he knew he was. He was going to do anything to become friends with Athena de León. He didn't know why but he knew he just had too.
