a/n: sorry i haven't updated this book in ages i've been focussing on my tokyo revengers one
in my tr book i write who the reader is paired with and the gender of the reader
but here im realising it's not written in this book 💀
the reader usually is gonna be gender neutral or female unless i get a request asking for the reader to be male
i'll probably state the gender in the author's note
if the theme in ur request isn't stated then i usually default to fluff (unless i get a different idea)

It was sudden, his hand just slipped into yours, locking together perfectly like a puzzle piece, creating the warmth between both your palms. Neji's breathing became a little steadier, heart rate calming down as he felt your hand tighten in his, letting you know you were fine with holding hands.

For awhile, Tenten tried getting you and Neji together, as her and the other girls gossiped about how you and him would look good together. Especially since Tenten saw the way Neji would look at you, and become a bit of a blushing mess himself if she'd call him out. The male Hyuga plucked up the courage and recently asked you out underneath a gorgeous cherry blossom tree.

Tenten and some of the others may or may not have been spying on you at the time, quietly celebrating as they saw you hug him, confirming their suspicions on whether or not you said yes. He learned to ignore the teasing from Tenten, but oh, if he knew she'd push his buttons continuously, he wouldn't have asked you out. He did it though, because he loves you, a lot.

"I book in a private session for us to go to the hot springs."

"You did?"

"Yeah, something different for a change." Neji was generally pretty busy with missions almost everyday, meaning you didn't really have the time to spend with him. But any time you're together, you cherish it, because one day, maybe you won't see each other again.

"That's where I'm taking you right now." He opened the door, being greeted by the women who worked there, showing you to the private part of the hot springs and handing you the things you needed. Wasting no time, you began removing one article of clothing from your body, hearing your boyfriend stammer behind you.

"What's wrong?" His soft lilac eyes peaked at your half-nude body, but didn't dare to do it once more, as he thought it might make you uncomfortable.

"Oh... nothing. Sorry for looking."

"It's alright, we're in a relationship, Neji. It doesn't hurt to look. You could get undressed first, I won't watch you." You turn around, hearing him manoeuvre around and take off his shinobi gear, sliding the door open and being met with the steam evaporating from the warm water, fogging up the window.

As you stepped outside, Neji could still make out the silhouette of your body from the steam blocking his view - the body he greatly adored, the body he would always be attentive to and worship... The same delicate body he'd feel stutter under his touch in bed. Putting your weight on one leg, allowing your other to dip into the warm water, a satiate-like smile curved your lips, fully submerging yourself.

The pool itself was decorated with flower petals, floating around on the surface and moving whilst you swam to Neji.

"I'm glad we get to spend some time together. It's not like we do this very often." A hum reverberates in his throat as a response, moving an arm to lazily wrap around your lower body, bodies being pulled closer. Your leg purposely drooped over his groin in an attempt to get a reaction out of him, a hand tickling up his toned body - which he gasps at.

He figured you enjoyed teasing him.
