"Yo." Kuramochi called from his spot on the floor. He, and the rest of Miyuki's room invaders, were lazing around after afternoon practice. None of the first years were around. Probably a bit intimidated to approach the second and third years, or maybe they were actually being productive... we'll never know.
"Yeah?" Miyuki responded from his desk, not looking up from his scorebook.
"The idiot always calls Okumura 'wolf-boy', right?" Kuramochi rolled onto his back to stare at the ceiling. From across the room, Sawamura huffed in acknowledgment of being mentioned. For once, he was sitting quietly, reading a borrowed manga. "And he's always comparing me to a cheetah or ferret for some reason."
"That's true." Kawakami agreed. Kanemaru nodded slowly.
"Eijun-kun, what animal am I?" Haruichi pointed to himself with a small smile. He adjusted to see the pitcher.
Sawamura sat up and leaned against the nearest wall, "Hmmm a cat I think!"
Haruichi blinked a few times, "I was expecting it... but it's still a bit disappointing."
"No no I think he's onto something," Kuramochi smiled. "Although if I had a say, you'd be a lynx."
Everyone stopped what they were doing to stare at Yoichi. Kawakami was the first to speak up, "I don't know how accurate that is..."
"Well think about it," Miyuki leaned back in his chair with a smirk. "When you hear the word 'cat', you think of a cute, passive house cat. Which is how you first see him."
"Kyaha! But when he's hunting his prey you really see another side of him!"
Haruichi's face heated up and he looked down at his hands, "I guess I'll take it as a complement?"
Meanwhile, Sawamura's head moved back and forth around the room, not fully understanding the connection being made.
"Can I be next?" Kawakami smiled.
"Yeah let's hear it, Sawamura!"
Eijun gave a confident expression, proud he had thought of his answer ahead of time, "Nori-senpai! You remind me of a squirrel hahaha!"
Miyuki was the first one to laugh, his arms wrapped around his stomach, "Hahahaha! I see it! I see it!"
"Sawamura," Kuramochi said as he fought back his laughter. "That's not nice!"
"I think he looks like a chipmunk."
"Furuya not you too..." Haruichi said, glancing over at Kawakami.
Finally seeing an opening after things calmed down, Miyuki spoke up.
"I'm excited to know what you think of me, Sawamura." Kazuya sat back in his chair and crossed his arms. The second year tilted his head, squinting. He thought really hard for an answer. Until his eyes widened.
"I KNOW! YOU'RE THAT CHARACTER FROM THAT MOVIE!"
"Lower your voice idiot," Kanemaru covered his ear. "What movie exactly? Be more specific."
"That- That movie with the rabbit and the fox!" Sawamura yells. How he could be so energetic after a day of training is one of humanity's greatest mysteries.
"Anyone know what he's talking about?" Kawakami asked.
"Wait!" Eijun spoke again. "I think the rabbit was a cop!"
The room fell silent. Just two or three seconds where everyone processed what Sawamura meant.
"You mean Nick from Zootopia... don't you?" Kuramochi glanced over at Miyuki, who was looking a bit confused. "Oh that's definitely what he means."
"Who's Nick-" Miyuki was cut off by an explosion of laughter.
"He looks exactly like the fox!"
"Good eye Sawamura! Haha I can't unsee it!"
Miyuki sighed in defeat and pouted, "I don't get it..."
Kawakami pulled out his phone and pulled up an image. He handed the phone to the catcher.
"Seriously..." he pushed the phone back to Kawakami. "This is how you guys see me?"
Eijun scratched the back of his head, "Hehe it was the only thing I thought of while I watched the movie."
"You aren't done, me next, bakamura." Kanemaru crossed his arms.
"Owl." Eijun said without hesitation.
"Why an owl?!"
Everyone stared at Kanemaru, then at each other, all nodding in silent agreement.
"Wait! What's that supposed to mean-"
"Ok that's it people," Kazuya stood up and stretched. "I'm going to bed so everyone get out."
"Aww already? No fun~" Yoichi hums as he rolls over on the floor.
"We have school tomorrow, and we have a quiz in math so I suggest you go to bed too, Kuramochi."
"We have a quiz tomorrow!?"
As Miyuki shoved the invaders out, Sawamura grabbed the sleeve of his sweater.
"At least tell me what animal I am!" He huffed.
Kazuya grinned, already knowing his answer, "An australian shepherd~"
"Huh? What's that?"
"An energetic dog that gets grumpy if it doesn't exercise." Miyuki smirked and pushed Sawamura out the door, quickly closing it shut.
"Miyuki Kazuya!" Eijun yells were muffled through the door.
"Goodnight, Sawamura." Miyuki rolled his eyes and chuckled as he walked over to organize the desk.
In the silence of the room, Miyuki could make out a quiet "Goodnight" mumbled through the thin door.
