"Okay, Wolf's Pack," Patricia's voice boomed in the Great Hall. "We were sucessful in our mission to attack an Enclave patrol. Now, it's been decades since the Brotherhood has engaged these people, but bear in mind. They. Are. The enemy. You do not hesitate when you see that power armor. You do not wait for a 'hello'. You shoot on sight. Once again, we are at war. Now, unlike last time, we don't have the New California Republic to back us up, like we did in Navarro. We are on our own. But we are the best of the best, in all the Brotherhood. And we shall prevail over this menace. Remember, that an assassin killed our Elder, and they MUST die!" The whole squad cheered at Patricia's speech. Especially Heron, whom the Elder Council were deciding on whether or not to make him the Vancouver Elder, due to his high popularity in that regard.
Wolf's Pack departed from the Brotherhood base that afternoon, on the hunt for any Enclave forces, especially Omega. Patricia was convinced by Heron that Michael was to blame for the Elder's murder, so she was out for blood.
They were out patrolling for 2 hours, with no sign of the Enclave. They had the immediate area locked down. Then Heron's eyes narrowed, as the evil little gears in his mind started turning. He knew how to assume control of everything, and all he had to do was pit everyone against Patricia.
"Hey guys," Heron started to say innocently, "I've been thinking about the Elder's murder... It was done with a laser pistol, which that Michael character did not carry. However, I think it was Fiore's pistol..."
Patricia stoppe and turned on her heels immediately. "What are you trying to say, Initiate?"
Heron's eyes were cold as he stood straight and with out so much as a quiver, said "It was you. You murdered the Elder to get back at us for leaving you behind at that crash site, and you did it because you sympathise witht the Enclave for helping you. YOU are the traitor." The squad cocked their laser rifles and aimed at Patricia. Everyone except Buck. He knew exactly what was going on, but was waiting to see if he was right.
"We'll take into account all that you did for the Brotherhood," Anderson said. "But if you don't run right now, we will be forced to kill you right here."
"And we will do it if you come anywhere near the base." Heron said, supressing a smile.
Without argument, but with much rage, Patricia turned around and started walking away from her squad, looking for a small town. On the horizon, she saw black smoke climbing up, and headed for it. Unaware of how things were going to turn out.
