Many years had passed and the families of the yakshas had grown many generations. Mizumi Urahara, the great, great, great grandaughter of the Water Yaksha wandered the family house, looking for her grandmother.

"Oba-Chan, where are you? I want another story."

She continued to look for her grandmother in the meandering hallways, as she looked room by room she was focused on finding her grandmother. Not paying attention to her surroundings, she accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oh, sorry Onii-chan, hey do you know where Oba-chan went?"

She's at the shrine near the forest, like she always is at this time.

"Arigato, sorry for bumping into you"

Mizumi opened the sliding door and ran across the village to the forest shrine. She had wanted to hear the story she was waiting patiently for, The Blue Spirit. Her grandma was the only one in the village who knew the full story and she was to anxious to sit still. She neared the forest shrine and there her grandmother kneeled before the shrine. Mizumi never knew who it was dedicated to so she really didn't think to much of the shrine. It gave off an eerie feeling to Mizumi as if something unseen lived in it. She shook her head clearing those worrysome curiosities.

"Oba-Chan, I wanna hear about the Blue Spirit now, you said you'd tell me today"

"Ah, yes I forgot I promised you that. This is actually the perfect place to tell it"

Mizumi sat down on the soft grass with her next to her grandmother

"Now then, the Blue Spirit who is said to inhabit the forest behind this shrine is known to most as a wandering soul left behind after the end of Okakura's attempt to rule over all. Separated from the other spirits he was said to have turned into a malevolent force from abandonment. However, that isn't the case. Only us of the Urahara family and the other yaksha families know the Blue Spirit's real identity. The Blue Spirit is actually the lost spirit of the Thunder Yaksha"

"Wait, so the Thunder Yaksha lives in the forest here? Why is he called the Blue Spirit if he's so important?"

"Because after defeating the last remnants of Okakura's evil, he had faded into an empty soul, his memory faded in others minds. The families of the Yaksha's all make sure he is never truly forgotten, passing his story with every generation. This shrine is dedicated to him, I come here every day praying that he would be able to move on. He did so much for us humans, that I feel he deserves rest rather than walking the earth for eternity."

"But, don't spirits move on even under his circumstances? I thought humans even the Yaksha's instantly move on after death."

"Well, The Thunder Yaksha was the only one to not change into a human and retain his spirtual form. That's why it's not as easy, especially if he's the hollow shell he is now."

"Is there anything we can do to help him return to normal?"

"I'm afraid us humans can't do anything. Only the power of the other yakshas can reawaken him, but as you know they have long since existed on the earth

Mizumi's grandmother looked directly into Mizumi's eyes, her expression intensely  serious

"Mizumi-san, no matter how old you get, no matter what happens in your life, promise me you'll never forget their stories especially the Thunder Yaksha's. Promise me to keep his memory alive, pass it on to your children, and your childrens' children."

"I will Oba-chan, I will"

Mizumi heard footsteps behind her and turned to see other kids from the village

"Mizumi-san, we're gonna play temari, come on"

Mizumi looked back at her grandma

"Go have fun, kids shouldn't be so concerned about such depressing things"

"Arigato, see you later Oba-chan"
