LAYLA
School was over and Mikayla and I were standing at the roadside waiting for her mum to pick her up.
She had tried to convince me to follow her for shopping but I simply said no.

"Are you sure you don't want to flow me for shopping? it'll be fun." Mikayla said again for the umpteenth time.

"How many times did you ask me Mikayla." I asked her.

"I don't know. I lost track of count." She said.

"But what did I say all those times you asked me." I asked with a raised brow.

"No." She said sadly making me feel guilty.

"Look Mikayla I'll make it up to you anyway I can but I can't force myself to enjoy what I don't enjoy." I explained as she sighed.

"I get it. I just thought it would be better if my best friend was there with me." She said

"How about having a sleepover one of these days and we could watch the dumb and dumber if you want or even the rings?" I asked and a smile graced on her lips

"That would be awesome Layla thanks." She said hugging me and that made me happy.
A horn suddenly blasted making us pull apart.

"Hey Layla." Mrs Smith, Mikayla's mum greeted with a smile.

"Hey Mrs Smith. How was work today?" I asked politely.

"It was boring but manageable for the money right?" She joked making me giggle.

"Well I would like to steal my child from you if you don't mind now." She said

"Oh I don't mind."I said pushing Mikayla towards the car.

"Oh my gosh Layla after all I've done for you. You're giving me up to my mother." Mikayla said gasping dramatically making me roll my eyes.

"Bye Mikayla. Bye Mrs Smith."I greeted as Mikayla entered the car.

"Why don't you enter for a lift?" Mrs Smith offered.

"I'm actually going to the library." I declined with a smile.

"Okay dear, greet your mum for me." She said.

"I will. Bye Kayla." I said

" Bye Layla." She beamed then her mom drove off.

" Now to the library alone." I muttered then walked away.

I opened the door and a bell rang signifying my presence and the librarian looked towards me as I walked towards her.

"Long time, no see Mrs Breeks" I greeted the librarian with a smile.

"Well.... It's certainly been long we saw now Layla." Mrs Breeks, the elderly librarian in her late fifties greeted with a sincere smile on her face.

"School's been hectic" I said with a shrug.

"Are you here for a book or you're going to the roof top?" She asked adjusting her glasses properly.

"Roof top." I replied simply making her nod.

"Okay you know the way after all." She said.

"Okay Mrs Breeks, I'll see you when going home." I said then ran off towards the door and stairs that led to the roof.
I quickly ran up the stairs then sat on the floor, my bag still on my back.
The sun hadn't started setting so I decided to play some games and read some erotica.
What? I read erotic novels too.
By the time I was done it's was past six already and the sun had started setting so I watched it intensely.
Suddenly a thought struck my mind. Who looks better in pink? Cardi or Nicki?
I mean it's obviously Nicki but my thoughts just run wild that way.
