Alayah Voight moves back to Chicago with her 4yr old daughter Ryleigh, to get away from her past in New York. When she gets back to Chicago she gets a job working with her dad and along side a former boyfriend Jay Halstead.

It was a Saturday when Jay woke up to make the girls breakfast. He didn't have to work cause it was the weekend and Saturday was the day that him and Alayah are taking Ryleigh shopping for her new room. They already got the house painted and picked the stuff up for the nursery that was at the new house already.
While Jay was making breakfast, Ryleigh woke up in her parents room cause she's been having nightmares again. She smelt the waffle her daddy was cooking, so she got out of bed and walked out to the kitchen.
"Mornin daddy." Says Ryleigh running up to Jay hugged her daddy's legs.
"Morning princess." Jay says picking Ryleigh up and sitting her on the counter away from the stove.
Jay and Ryleigh talked about the new house and what she wanted in her room. Alayah walked in the kitchen with her hand on her 𝟷𝟺 weeks 𝟹 days pregnant belly. She walked over to Jay gave him a kiss, then walked over to Ryleigh and gave her a bunch of kisses all over her face. Ryleigh started giggling.
"Mommy stop please." Ryleigh says laughing.
"Okay, but only because you said please." Says Alayah as she started setting the table.
Jay brought the food to the table and the helped Ryleigh off the counter, they sat down at the table to eat breakfast together. Ryleigh asked where uncle Will was and Jay said he went out with a friend this morning. Alayah knew what Jay meant, but she couldn't help but smile. After breakfast Alayah gave Ryleigh a bath because she got syrup all over her, but Ryleigh didn't mind because she loves bath time. When bath time was done Alayah got Ryleigh ready and then she went to go get herself ready for the day.
