7.("We have history together"

Lukes pov:

After not seeing Julie for more than an hour.

And also having to spend time with stupid fuckers.

I need my person right now.

"You know," Reggie starts "ive noticed your facial expressions and manner change a lot when your with and without Julie. Interesting huh."

"That's because I'm around people I don't like." I have a very small list of people I like or even tolerate.

"Ouch. Words hurt." Reggie places a hand on his heart.

"I didn't mean you, dork." Reggie is one of my best friends, I honestly don't know what id do without him.

"Aww that's the nicest thing you've said." he wipes fake tears away.

"Okay, buddy." I pat his shoulder.

"Hey, there's Julie!" Reg says and I look to where he's pointing.

She's talking to some kid on the lacrosse team.

He's pretty "popular", I think his name's Rick.

"Yikes." I hear Reggie say from beside me. "Yeah I'm just gonna go to class early."

I do not like the way he's looking at my Julie.

I walk up to where they're at and wrap my arms around Julie from behind.

"Oh hi Luke," Julie smiles up at me.

She's so adorable.

"Hey darling, whatcha doing?" I ask eyeing Rick or whatever his name is.

"Oh I made a new friend." She can be very oblivious sometimes, I don't think she realizes he just wants to be friends.

"Hi, I'm Nick" eh, I was close "We have history together." he says with a stupid smug look on his face.

The fuck? Who does he think he is?

"Okay? So do we," I start "doesn't make you fucking special." I raise an eyebrow.

"Okayyyy," Julie starts "lets head to class now Luke." She frantically pulls my arm past Nick.

I just glare at him.

She pulls me into an empty classroom.

"Seriously Luke," she gives the the mom stare.

"What?" I ask, I haven't done anything wrong.

"Dont act all innocent here," she scolds me "Nick didn't even do anything. Why were you being so rude?"

Because he looks like you the way I look at you.

"He's a prick!" I say instead of the real reason.

"You don't even know him!" She yells back.

"And you do? It's your first day!" I yell back.

"You can't always think badly about people! Not everyone is out to get you." She says sternly.

We don't normally get into fights or arguments, and when we do it never lasts more that an hour.

"Okay true, but you don't know that about Nick!" He could be a psycho.

"Im just trying to be nice!" She yells obviously frustrated.

"And I'm just trying to look out for you!" I yell back also frustrated. But not with her. With myself.

"And I appreciate it, but I'm not a child! I can take care of myself." she says crossing her arms.
