The Girl with the Love App

Chapter 1: Samuel

START, take a picture of your chosen person.

I wasn't sure that this app was real or a hoax, I didn't want to believe that luck would come to me instead of me just hoping for it. The day started, as usual, got out of bed and brushed my teeth, and got ready for my morning class at 10.

Today was a warm day, 25 degrees forecasted on the weather app, so I decided to wear a floral skirt, a t-shirt, and a thin cardigan to finish the outfit. Always looking my best in case anything happens to me.

I took the HH34 bus to my uni campus, typically arriving 15 minutes before class, and sat in my usual spot. But this time, I looked around for my potential
love interest so that I could test out the app.

I don't take interest in anyone so far, everyone is minding their own business, either talking to their friends, doing something on their laptop or just playing games on their phones.

A few minutes later, my friend arrived and sat next to me. I didn't want to tell her about the mysterious Love App just yet, in case, she might be weirded out.

Our lecturer finally walked in and started class, she announced that we have a presentation that is due next week. It was sudden but it was just to recap what we had learned the past few weeks in marketing.

"Don't worry class, it's nothing to stress over, I just want to see how much you guys understand about the course so far. Please get into groups of four and finalize your members by today, have a member come up to the front and pick a random topic to discuss".

I looked towards my left and shook an agreement handshake with Melody, we have been friends for at least five years now, she also has a boyfriend around the same time.

A girl behind us taps Melody's shoulder wondering if she could join us, now we have three members. I look around and everyone is talking to each other, it's hard to tell who has a full group and those finding members.

She introduced herself to us as Charlie, she wore a white hoodie and black jeans, simple but still cute. I thought she would be younger than us but surprisingly she's the same age, 21 years old.

Melody and Charlie were getting to know each other and I continued to scan the room, our classroom was quite large, so to see who has a group or not in a group was challenging.

At the corner of my eye, I see a person who is glowing from the rest, he was sitting near the window to the right of the classroom. He had sat on the seat where the sun was only shining on him, it was as if he was destined for something great or to the main character. I knew he had to be the final member of our group.
