Day by day passed exactly the same. Get up, breakfast with the others, work, lunch, work, back to his room, dinner, sleep. Percy was falling into his routine faster than he had expected it, and what surprised him the most... day by day, he was also meeting new people. Others invited him to sit with them, introduced themselves, talked to him. Percy was so confused on how easy he was slipping into the rows ofHanson's legions. He had never expected it to be easy, in the slightest. And during the first days, it wasn't. But slowly, he was becoming part of the group.
Ofcourse, he was spending most of his time with Kathrine, the young mechanic in training. But he also found himself enjoying an hour ortwo with the vampire Stefan, and found time to go up to Joe for a beer as well.
A week passed like nothing, a second week as well. But Percy knew it wasn't always going to be peaceful, especially now that Electrica wasabout to return from her punishment.
And now, he stood in line with the vampires of the base, waiting to collect a blood bag. For who? And why?
To preserve his own life, obviously. Electrica was going to try and prey on him for sure after moving back in next to him. Admittedly nervous, standing in line with a bunch of vampires as the only human, Percy shifted from one leg to the other, waiting his turn. A ton of weird looks were thrown his way, yet nobody had asked any questions so far. Percy preferred it this way, if he had been honest. Finally making it up towards the counter of the medical bay, Percy exhaled a breath he didn't remember holding in.
"Percy?"
The man behind the counter raised one eyebrow at him; the boy smiled back.
"Yeah. Say, did Electrica pick up her ration yet? If not, I'm here for it."
"Percy, I can't just hand out blood to you. This is something valuable for everyone here. No, Electrica wasn't here yet." He breathed out a sigh, shaking his head. "She has probably forgotten it again, like usual..."
"That's why I'm here." Percy made a gesture towards his own neck, by now bandaged to add a small protective layer to his skin to prevent vampire attacks. "I'm trying to save myself right now. We... aren't on best terms. If I make sure she gets her blood, I won't be in as much need to defend myself."
A brief moment of silence later, a laugh came from his opposition and a nod of agreement ended the conversation. "Just take it and get out of here. We've got vampires to tend to. I can at least trust you that it will actually end up in Electrica's hands."
Percy shot a smile at him, then snatched a bag from the counter and weaseled his way between the waiting vampires out of the med bay. Success.
Quietly making his way towards his own room, Percy stared at the bag with growing interest. He had never seen a blood pack like this which was designed for drinking. Even the name of who had donated it was clearly visible on the pack, perfect with time stamps and type.
This one here was definitely criminal blood, as far as Percy could tell. Taken from the head of the training department, Naomi herself. Somewhat wondering if there was a taste difference between the races, Percy quietly hung the bag onto Electrica's door before making his way into his own room. Time to go to bed for him... He had to get up early tomorrow again to work.
Of course, not before locking his own room door and blocking the exit off with a drawer of his. He had learned early enough not to trust that woman next to him and for once, he wanted to have a good night's sleep without needing to fear for his safety. Or the safety of his DNA in Electrica's hands.

A deep breath. His scent. He is here, right now.
Electrica stared at the door to Parker's room without an ounce of sympathy. He was finding his way into the rows better than she thought. The scent of his pure blood wasn't letting go of her. Unbitten was always the best. There was no reason to attack. Not yet.
