"Where is Electrica?"

Percy stood in front of the laboratorydoors, labcoat already in his hands. He knew what he had to do... itwas only fair, was it? And he dreaded it, dreaded what was going tohappen. But the guilt ate away at him, and this was the only way out.

The only way? No.

But the easiest one.

Percy had made his choice, after a longnight brooding over his options.

It was a piece of cake to spot thiswoman among all the other workers, her blue hair was definitely akicker. Without hesitation, Percy approached her, catching an annoyedlook of said director once she smelled him.

"What do you want, Percy?"

"Do you have a moment in privatefor me?"

Percy's voice was soft and quiet, andthe aggressive stance of his opposition immediately fell. That... wasnot how she knew him. There was something up with him and Electricareckoned that it was serious. She sighed- then nodded.

"Of course. Come into my office."

Percy followed her silently past hercolleagues and into the small office, door shutting behind them. Sheoffered Percy a seat while sitting down herself, yet he did not move.Staring at her, Percy pondered again if that was the right choice. But yes, that was going to be his way to cope with the guilt. And hefelt that she... she was the one who should do it.

"...you figured out my intentionswithin a day. I thought it's fair to tell you they changed...somewhat."

Electrica's eyebrows rose yet shefavored silence, allowing him to speak.

"I'm going to be honest with you...Guilt keeps me awake every night for what I'm about to do. And... I'mnot convinced anymore about this, not the slightest. I figured... I'mtoo deep in this now to quit. So I may as well give you anopportunity for revenge."

The woman huffed, clearly gettingannoyed once again. Oh he wouldn't dare search for an easy way out ofthis, would he?

"Now hold on a second you brat-"

"Electrica, I want you to bite me."

It was going to be perfect. IfElectrica would bite him, she was able to hunt him down and revengeherself for the downfall of Hanson. She... could get back at him forruining her life. It was a good way out... a fair chance.

"I thought I can do that. I thoughteveryone would hate me. But Katie, Stefan... everyone. You aren't badpeople... you slipped into this by chance. All you needed was thehelp of the law to be able to function with a normal life and thegovernment completely fucked it up. We fucked it up. And for that Iwant to apologize... on behalf of everyone."

Percy looked up, only to be met with agaze of pure disgust. Electrica stood up from her chair and roundedher desk, standing in front of him, glaring into his soul.

"You're kidding me, aren't you. Ofcourse. I'll bite you and give you the easy way out of this, that'syour plan, isn't it? Just let me find you later to kill you. That'show you can live with the guilt of betraying us, who took you in asour own and treated you with respect."

She barked out a cold and icy laugh, then slapped him across his face. Percy felt his cheek flame up intocrimson red as he flinched, yet did not back away. He knew hedeserved this.

"You disgust me, Percy. No, I won'tdo you that favor, I won't let you off the hook that easy. You chosethis and now suffer with the consequences. I don't blame you, to befair. We are the bad side of society, we murder and steal, and wesupport god knows how many illegal activities."
