🦋Work hard on your mental health and your body will follow.🦋
"They're still sleeping," Gilda said as you and all of the others sat inside of one room waiting for the others.
You looked around your surroundings, inside of the large cave before your eyes landed on the small set out that was decorated in the room. Multiple pieces of branches were placed in the center of the floor surrounded by rocks and pebbles, with white cloth sheets scattered around for everyone to sit.
The beaches popped and snapped inside of the fire as it dance around in the circle, entertaining its audience around them.
Your hands trembled inside of your pants pockets, thinking about Emma's and Ray's well-being. They were placed in another room, separate from all of you.
"Here, take a cup," the smaller female demon said as she made her way towards you with a thin smile placed on her face.
You frowned in disgust as you looked down at the floating vegetables and meat drowned in a warm brown liquid that was inside of the dark-maroon-colored mug.
"No, I'm fine," you brushed off, looking back up at the girl. You didn't want to take anything that the demons had to offer. She could've spiked it, waiting for the poison to take its effect on you while they eat away at your flesh along with the others.
"No. I insist. I'm pretty sure that all of you are starving and you've made a pretty long trip away from the farm that you're from," she said ushering the cup towards you.
You looked down at the cup and frowned slightly. The chopped-up ingredients in the soup floated around starring up at you, waiting to be eaten. Your stomach grumbles lowly causing you to grab ahold of your shirt that covered your lower torso.
You looked back up at her and imagined you slapping the cup from her hands causing the substance to spill over on the floor.
But you didn't.
"...Okay," you mumbled.
You grabbed the warm mug from the creature's hands before you and brought it close to your chest while starring down into it. Your thumb and index finger held onto the silver spoon and stirred it around a couple of times before looking back up to see the demon walking around the cave-like room, handing out more mugs to the others.
You held up the spoon to your lips and placed the whole end of the spoon into your mouth.
You felt the warm liquid go down slowly in your throat to the pit in your stomach, making your heart melt.
"It's good," you mumbled to yourself. You dipped the spoon back into the mug and continued to eat the homemade soup before sitting down on the well-made mat on the ground.
