🦋Don't mistake a chapter of your life for the whole story.🦋
You held your arms around Ray's shoulders as he rushed back with the man back to headquarters. Emma was wounded and you were in pain from yesterday. Blood drained from Emma's gunshot wound, dripping on the older male who lead her to the woods.
You gritted your teeth as your body moved along with the raven-haired male, praying that you'd make it back to the hideout in time. It was getting hard for you to breathe, feeling as if your cage was gradually closing in and was getting ready to pierce your lungs. You tried to lift yourself higher on Ray's back to try and lessen the feeling of you being suffocated. But every time you try to do that, your body clocks right back into his broad back.
"Stop squirming!" Ray cursed as he held onto your legs tighter in frustration and irritation. He wanted you to get back to the headquarters safely. But to him, it seemed like you were intentionally trying to weigh him down so you both can get caught by the feral demons that are trailing after you.
You did as you were told and suffered silently as you were struggling to get your breathing together.
Everything happened in such a short amount of time. Handed death the compass and he fiddled with the arms, smiling with wickedness as he watches you squirm and suffer beneath his gaze.
You walked into one of the dark rooms and got a sight of Emma laying down still on a cot. Her breathing was back to normal which was a good sign. You closed the door behind you and pulled out a chair before gently placing yourself into it. You never thought that something like this would have ever happened to her. Seeing her in such a state made your stomach turn in knots and your eyes burn in resentment.
Pushing all of your bad moments aside from what happened on the farm, you looked at her as a blood sister. Someone who you grew up with. Someone, you have known for your whole life, laying down peacefully with a hole punctured in their stomach from the wicked.
Like hers, you were also wrapped up with bandages and ointment from the bruises that littered your upper torso. Medicine was prescribed to you and because you didn't t have ice, you used containers that were filled with cold water and placed it onto your wound.
Norman was supposed to come back today, according to what Ray told you. Things were getting more dangerous by the day and you needed to come up with a plan. There was no doubt that your lover was going to be angry about the monstrosity that has happened to you and his childhood friends. But the question was... 'how is he going to react?'
"Y/n?" You're pulled out of your thoughts when you hear Emma's voice meekly call for you. Her short curly orange locks, sprawled out on the pillow beneath her head gave her comfort. What was once filled with dirt and twigs was now clean, showing the true bright orange pigment of her hair. You'd never thought that you would see her in such a state. The outgoing and free-spirited girl is now bound to a bed and has a hole in her body, draining out her cheerfulness.
