Florence Miller, the oldest sibling of Ginny and Austin. Her name Florence comes from Italy, which is where Georgia had once found love before, sadly her father wasn't looking for a child at the time. Florence had something that Ginny didn't have, she had the utmost respect for her mother.

After some time her father, Oliver, tried to get back in her life. He got her a car for her sixteenth birthday, he sends her money, he calls and texts at least once a week to check in with her. Oliver left Goergia alone with Florence because his family was strict, their family in Italy was respectable and well-known. As years went on he became miserable, all the money in the world couldn't buy you happiness. He just wanted another chance to spend time with his daughter but to Florence he was never truly her father.

Georgia is a single mother and never gave up on her children, she could have easily abandoned her children and Florence knows that. Instead Georgia stayed with her children, she let them grow up to a better childhood than she ever had.

Maybe that's one reason why Ginny was always a bit jealous of Florence. She knows how loyal Florence is to their mother. Regardless Florence is her older sister, they're still family, they don't hate each other.

Sadly being the older sister, Florence also has to re-take sophomore year due to them moving quite a bit. Florence is only a year older than Ginny, but due to her late school start and the moving issues, she's now in Ginny's grade. This gave her a chance to possibly embarrass Ginny at school, which is what she would usually do but Florence is also going to be a new student.
