Jaune Arc the Key Barer

Beginnings are not Always Easy

"Ow did you have to do that!" He yelled as he looked up and saw his little sister Melanie Arc, who supported her big brother while her other siblings didn't well except Saphron but she was always by his side.
"hey big brother." Melanie ask looking down at the only son of the family.

"what is it Mel?" Jaune asked as she pointed to his side.

"What's that?" She asked as he looked over and saw as sword but the teeth was in the shape of a crown the guard was golden while the handle was white with blue wrapping the golden guard went around the handle and the keychain hooked onto the end had a crown design to it "kingdom key" Jaune muttered as the key disappeared into a burst of light.

"WOW! DO IT AGAIN!" Mel yelled as their mother came outside hearing Mel yell.

"What's going on out here?" She asked as she saw Mel with a gleam in her eyes.

"Mommy, mommy Jaune made a sword disappear!" Mel said making their mother go wide eyed.
"can you show me Jaune?" Maria Arc asked as Mel jumped up and down.

"Come on please big brother!" Mel said being to cute he couldn't ignore her.

"Ok, but I'm not sure how I did it in the first place." Jaune said as he held out his hand focusing on bringing out the Kingdom Key.
In a flash of light the blade appeared in his hand surprising his mother.

"Jaune where did you get that weapon from?" She asked not needing to look at her as he could tell she had narrowed her eyes at him.

"I don't know mom, I was taking a nap when Mel woke me up and pointed it out." I said as Mel nodded.
"Yeah mommy, I was playing when Jaune was sleeping when I saw a light next to big brother, then that sword appeared next to him." Mel said making me smile as always took my side.

"Give it here Jaune, you are not going to be using it anyways." Mom said as she took the blade from his hands only for it to disappear from her hands and reappear back into Jaunes.

"What the hell?" Maria exclaimed shocked that the strange weapon disappeared from her hands and back into Jaune's. "Did you do that Jaune?" His mother asked as he shook his head.

"No mom, I didn't do that, but why were you trying to take it from me?" Jaune asked as she had ripped it out of his hands only for it to return in a flash of light.
"Because you are not going to be a Hunter, and your father and I already forbid you to do it." His mother said making Mel stand up.

"Why mommy, why do you have to be mean to big brother! All he wants is to be like daddy, grandpa and everyone else in our family! Amber didn't want to be one but you still trained her to fight so why can't Big brother?" Mel yelled surprising her only brother but thankful for the support.

Taken aback by the outburst of the youngest child Maria was stuck she couldn't lie as it would go again one of the family rules but she won't say the truth because it would hurt her relationship with her only son and youngest daughter. "Look sweetie, mommy and daddy do things to protect you, and you love your big brother right?" She asked getting a nod. "And you'd be really sad if you couldn't play with him anymore wouldn't you?" Mel nodded again. "So do you still want your big brother to fight and end up hurt?" Maria asked hoping Mel would see the reason but failed when her little girl nodded.

"Yes mommy, because that's who big brother is, but he doesn't want to fight, he want to protect people, to keep the Grimm from hurting families like with what happened to grandpa and gran gran. He wants to keep everyone safe!" Mel said surprising her mother from the determination in her voice.

"Sweetie Jaune wouldn't have been able to help them, he doesn't know how to fight." Their mother said looking down at the youngest Arc child.

"But that's because you won't teach him!" Mel yelled back. "You won't teach him anything, ever since he asked for training to become a Hunter you denied every opportunity and every Huntsman who offered to teach him for free, why mommy, why can Jaune be a hunter?" Mel asked as the group of three failed to notice the black pool behind their mother.
