Not Switched at birth

Hollywood, California

The two deaf teenagers were taking pictures like they promised Daph they would. California was so beautiful. Even more beautiful in person. While they were taking pictures, they met this girl. Her name is Skye. She seemed really, really nice. Apparently she was from Kansas, too. She was on her spring break as well. Skye was hearing, but luckily they both could read lips well and Skye didn't care that they were deaf. It took her a little while, but she figured out most of the words they signed. They asked Skye what school she went to. "Buckner Hall" she said. Em replied, "No way! my girlfriend use to go there. Her name is Daphne Kennish. Do you know her?"
Skye said "Do I know her? We use to be best friends. Then we started to separate. It was a tough time for both of us. Tell her I say hi when you go back."
B signed "of course! Hey skye did you come here alone?"
"Yea, my friends left me out. They are going to Florida. I decided to go somewhere and not feel miserable."
Em replied "Good for you!"
syke: "Thanks. hey Emmett since Daphne is your girlfriend.... how come your with Bay? Like how come she's not here? are you guys..."
Before she could finish that sentence, B replied "yeah, please don't say anything. Daph was suppose to come, but her parents didn't let her. We took this as a sign. I mean we belong together. Daph doesn't know yet. We are hoping that she takes it well."
Em signed back "Skye, I know that you guys aren't friends, but if you could not tell Daph if your ever see her. We will eventually tell her."
Skye said after, "okay don't worry I won't. But B.... Isn't Em kind of cheating on you right now?"
B signed "Technically yes and no. We are together, and I know that Daph and him are together. Em loves me and I love him. That's how I see it"
Em leaned in and kissed B. He missed that. He missed being able to kiss B. He loved her after all. B and Em thought it was for the best. B was a little worried that she may lose a friend. She really didn't want to though.
Skye, Em, and B went for a walk on the beach. They were talking and having fun. Skye then said "We should totally hang out after Spring break! It would be so fun, and I could maybe come with you when you tell Daphne... I mean Daph about you know..." B replied "oh yeah! Definitely! I"m actually really sad this is our last day in California."
Em said "I know right! This has been the best week ever. You guys are really the best."
The teens were upset but they wanted to spend their last day I California to go for a late night swim. They had so much fun they forgot to check the clock. It was almost midnight.
B signed "guys... woah guys. We need to go back to the hotel. B and Skye shared a room and Em went to the room right next door. It was nine in the morning and Em went to the girls hotel room so they could eat breakfast. He knocked on the door and Skye answered. B was still sleeping. He signed "hi Skye. I'm just checking to see if you guys are awake. I can see my darling is still sleeping. I'll wake her up and we can go eat breakfast."
"okay" Skye said.
Em walked over to sleeping B and woke her up. She woke up and she kissed him. Skye thought it was the cutest and sweetest thing in the world.

They all went down to go eat breakfast after B and Skye got ready. That took about half an hour. The time was about 9:45 and they just got their food.

An hour later:
Em: Guys let's go! It's already 10:50 we gotta go if we wanna make it home before dark.
B: Okay okay Em. We are almost ready, but we got you a present that we wanted to give you!
Skye: I'll give it to him.
Skye handed Em a box with a ribbon on it. He was smiling the whole time. When he finally opened it, he saw a camera. It was a very expensive camera too!
Em signed "oh my! guys this is awesome! Thank you so much. You guys are the best. I can't wait to try it out... In Kansas! Because we gotta goooo."

The three teens went inside the car and started driving. They got to Kansas in a short period of time.
