" hey, Colleen, wait up!" My friends Calum, Ashton, Michael, and Luke were yelling at me to come back. " well, hurry up!" I yelled back, laughing. When they finally caught up to me, I was sitting on the grass outside calum's house. "You're too fast." Michael said. I couldn't help but smile at what he said. All of a sudden, I was frowning. " what's wrong, coll?" Calum asked. I hadn't told them that I was leaving Australia in two months. We were all in college. We've been best friends for five years, and I wouldn't be with them anymore. " oh, nothing." I said, trying not to look sad. "Something's wrong. Tell us what it is." Ash said with a sincere look on his face. I looked at Cal's face, searching for curiosity and worry. " I haven't told you guys yet, but I'm moving." I said with an exasperated tone. "Oh, how far?" Luke said. "Like, a couple blocks?" I looked at him. "No." They all looked at me. They don't understand what I'm talking about, I thought. " I'm moving to another country." I felt like I was betraying my best friends. I looked at cal again. This time he couldn't bring himself to look at my face. "Guys, I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, but I was worried. I guess I had a right to feel that way." I mumbled the last sentence. " no coll! No, you shouldn't feel that way. We're best friends, and you should have a right to tell us like its nothing we haven't heard before." Ash told me. "Plus, you moving is a new opportunity." Mikey added. I smiled. "Guys, stop trying to make me feel better, because its working." I laughed. "You okay cal?" I asked him. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just really gonna miss you, coll." He was trying hard not to cry. I stood up and hugged him. "I know, I'm gonna miss you guys too." I said softly. When we walked into Cal's house, I ran upstairs to his room. After I stepped into his room and sat on the edge of his bed, I heard footsteps coming. Cal opened the door and stepped in. "Coll, can I talk to you for a minute?" He asked. "Of course. Talk about anything you want." I replied with a smile. He stared at me, then finally said something. "Where are you moving?" His eyes looked glassy, like he was searching my soul to see if I really wanted to leave or not. "I'm still trying to decide that." I answered quietly. I looked down at my feet. "I still don't want you to leave." Cal was whining. "Relax cal, I'm leaving in two months. I still have time to decide everything. And I might decide to stay." I added, laughing. This made him smile. "Please stay." He said, smirking. Ash walked in. Guys, wanna watch a movie? The popcorn's ready." He stared at me while he talked. Lately ash has been acting weird sometimes. He's always weird, but this was a different kind of weird. "Okay, let's go." Cal took my arm and pulled me away. He was still smirking. When we got downstairs, Luke and Mikey were sitting on the couch playing FIFA. "Guys scoot over." Cal said, whining. Ash came down five seconds later. We were trying to pick which movie to watch , because Luke and cal were arguing about it, when the bell rang. "I'll get it!!" I yelled from the kitchen. I walked to the front of the house and opened the door. A girl was standing in front of me. "Does Calum live here?" She asked. " uh, yeah." I stuttered. "Oh, I haven't introduced myself." She said, laughing as if her forgetting was so funny. "I'm Jennifer, but you can call me Jenn." She smiled at me. "Nice to meet you." I muttered, looking at the floor. "Oh, come on in, Jenn!" Cal yelled from the couch. I moved so she could step inside. She walked past me like I was invisible. "Bitch." I whispered. I glared at the back of her head like I could burn a hole right through it. "Guys, this is Jenn." Cal said with a smile. Definitely NOT a fake one, I thought. Jennifer sat down next to him. That was my spot. I began hating her even more. "I'll be back." I walked out of the room, and went upstairs to cal's room. I closed the door and sat down on his bedroom floor. "I can't believe that on a day I'm hanging with my best friends, cal invites a girl over that I don't even know and doesn't tell me about it." I said out loud, without noticing someone was standing in the doorway, looking at me. When I noticed, I saw it was Luke. "You okay?" He asked as he sat next to me. "Yeah, I'm fine." I mumbled. "Well, you don't seem fine." I looked at him. "Truth is, I'm not fine. Not anymore, at least." I was trying not to cry. "Whatever's wrong, you can tell me." I put my head on his shoulder and started sobbing. "I can't believe cal would do this!" I was crying hysterically. "I know. I didn't even know he had a girl coming over." Luke said quietly. "I think I'm gonna go home. Ok?" I said. "Yeah. Want me to walk you home?" I nodded my head. "Yeah, I'd like that." We got up and went downstairs. "Hey guys! Jenn was just telling me she's got nothing to do, so I'm letting her watch a movie with us." "There won't be US, cal." I said. I was pissed off with him, I didn't realize that he was confused, but I didn't care. "I'm walking Colleen home. Wanna go with us ash and Mikey? Seems that cal wants to spend time with his girlfriend." "What the fuck is wrong?!" Cal yelled at us. "Seriously, cal?! Seriously, you don't know?! What's wrong? As if I would tell you!! You should know what's wrong you fucking asshole!! Damn, you, Calum hood, damn you." I stomped outside and slammed the door shut.
