People love a good story, isn't it? They have been learning so much from the stories. Ramayanam and Bhagavadgita, Bible are also stories, aren't they?
It's our older generations that read the books and understood all the good human traits, and learnt to live and learnt to lead.
We all learn from stories, we grew up on them. And when it comes to the story of "Adventures of Riley & Coco", we did witness a few good human traits and attributes. Let's all relive them once again.
So, here are the major takeaways from the storybook "Adventures of Riley & Coco".
1) Parents always love their kids, their way of parenting may at times is the problem, not the parents.
Example:
Though Riley always wanted a puppy, because the family have had a heartbreak losing their first puppy Bailey, they hesitated not to bring a pup home. They were concerned about Riley.
Even though Mark was way more into the social media business, he too needed his mom and sister to support him to which Annitta wholeheartedly understood.
2) Being kind is the ultimate strength.
Example:
If Padraig wasn't kind to a random puppy on the road, he may not have witnessed all the other good things that followed.
If Riley didn't care about the man who was drowning in the river, their family might not have benefitted and been supported by the business investors.
3) Social Media isn't good or bad, it is a medium. It's what we do with that medium, is that decides whether we succeed or collapse.
Example:
Mark used social media to promote his business to sustain a healthy living. Even Annita and Riley were able to handle all the fame they have amassed on social media by making sure they are contributing to the wellbeing of the family, friends, neighbours, and the community.
The more good content we collectively produce for the internet and social media, the better our recognition would be.
4) Patience is a virtue.
Example:
Remember the man who got stranded in the river. Similarly, we all go through terrible times, we all do face problems, and one thing we have to learn is to exhale through the hard times. If there is nothing else you can do to get back into your happiest self, we often should hang onto hope and optimism just like Keith stayed afloat hanging onto the tree branch.
5) Fortune favours the brave.
Example:
'Coco' might be a lovely looking pup but, we can not ignore the fact that he was ready to jump into the river to save an unknown man from death.
Mark & Riley might be kids, but it's their courage and thoughtful reactions that saved their family from the burglary.
6) Perseverance and practical optimism will shield your dream.
Mark didn't become a social media business owner in a day, he worked. He worked alone doing painting, he worked with his friends to set up a store online, he worked with his momma and sister to do more sales.
Plenty of people today, see all the distinguished leaders and millionaires on social media and subconsciously start enjoying them for their success. What they are missing is the real hard work all the successful people had put in before it.
7) Follow your intuition, take chances, take risks when you have to.
Social media fame wasn't the thing Padraig or Annitta we're born with. It happened, it happened when their son Mark got his store started and it happened because of the cute pair Riley & Coco.
So, it's their work ethic and intuition to push Riley and Mark to go on and do their own thing while supporting them in every way they could. Riley could have become a victim at school if they haven't been careful. So, follow your intuition, take risks and accommodate yourself and your family members when they do not reach the expectations.
8) Be the person your family would be proud of.
By making sure his family succeeds in their endeavours Padraig has become the person every parent admire.
The good deeds done by Mark & Riley made their parents proud, happy, and wealthy.
The parenting of Annitta made her a desirable person in the neighbourhood, a great mom, and Padraig's love interest forever.
9) Do good deeds for others. Karma is practical.
So, for all you youngsters Karma is not a myth or not any spiritual phrase we are unaware of, it's as simple as common sense. You do good for others and people would do the same with you!
Meanwhile, everyone may not be able to help you in your pursuit but the ones who can help you, will not ignore you if you are a good person.
So, that's the end of the story, Adventures of Riley & Coco. And I hope you succeed in your pursuit and will receive all the love, happiness throughout your life.
