I turned over slowly, letting out a groan as I became aware of my sore body. The events of last night were hazy, but one thing was clear: I was not alone. I opened my eyes and frowned at Nicoló sleeping peacefully beside me. He looked so damn sexy. My gaze wandered from his lips to his chest. I bit my bottom lip at the sight of the tattoos that covered his skin, only intensifying my attraction to him.

I rolled my eyes and sighed. What the hell was I doing? He wasn't supposed to be here, and we weren't supposed to be sharing a bed. We weren't even supposed to be having sex. Here I was enjoying the presence of him lying next to me when I shouldn't. I chewed on my bottom lip nervously. This had to come to an end. I had my spontaneous fun and now it was over. I couldn't keep doing this with him because I knew it wasn't good. He was right when he said that it was quick pleasure and nothing else. After I won his case, I wouldn't see him anymore. I knew how I was when it came to sex.

I let out an exasperated sigh, rolling my eyes at the absurdity of the situation. What was I thinking? He wasn't supposed to be here, and we certainly weren't supposed to be sharing a bed, let alone having sex. Yet, here I was, enjoying the warmth of his body beside me, despite knowing it was wrong. I nervously chewed on my lip, realizing this had to end. My brief fling had been fun, but it was time to draw the line. He was right; it was just convenient sex, and once I wrapped up his case, I wouldn't see him again. I didn't want to get attached, I knew I would sooner than later. It was best if we ended it now.

"Are you going to just lay there and stare at me?"

I gulped, "I didn't know you were awake. I'm sorry, you looked so peaceful, and I didn't want to wake you."

He opened his eyes, and I had to look away. His striking emerald eyes had a way of making me weak in the knees. Even in that groggy state, he was sexy as hell. This was not a love affair I should have. He was a dangerous man, and he carried a deadly passion.

"So, what do you have planned for today?"

He propped himself up slowly and asked, "What time is it?"

I grabbed my phone and pressed the side button, bringing the home screen to life. "It's nine in the morning," I replied.

He muttered a curse and got to his feet. My gaze instinctively dropped to his cock. It was hard and sticking straight out. He was a gift from the heavens wrapped in flesh and bone. I found myself wondering how he could fit inside me. When I heard him chuckle, I quickly looked up, realizing he had caught me staring, which made me blush.

"I didn't mean to stay the night. Things got carried away. I have to get going, but I'll see you Friday."

I tightened my grip on the blanket, feeling a mix of emotions. "Alright, that's fine. I'll see you on Friday, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day," I said, trying to mask the sadness creeping in as he prepared to leave. It was a familiar ache, a sign of my growing attachment to him. He searched for his clothes in a hurry.
