The disembarking of yellows and the thuds of raindrops consumed the atmosphere into muffles of moist and the crawling of cold. My body grew heavy and exhaustion settled the peak in my body, crawling every inch of my limb almost unmovable.

The loss of my cardigan is greatly missed.

"Were you waiting for me?" We're now both in the lobby waiting for our ride to arrive - Carol and I. She was back from the art room, apparently getting ready for the art club exhibition. Hindi ko rin alam kung paano iyon.

"No." I replied.

"Tagal naman ng ride. The class was dismissed almost an hour ago." She stated while counting her watch.

"My phone is dead. Where is my ride na kasi? He should be here kanina pa." She grumbled. I crossed my arms and nodded. Students demeaned as the utterance bereaved into muffles - consumed by the heaving of pouring rain and the big space that engulf the few students.

"Was he here na? Amos, I mean?" She crossed her legs and settled herself from the couch. We're both now crossing arms and legs, gazing outside - into the insisting of pouring rain.

"Yes, he was here."

"What?!" She abruptly stood up and was almost yelling. The sender accumulates the most of attention within the lobby and the utterance were demeaned but from us.

"He was here na?! Why can't he wait?! He's aware naman sa uwian ko! That old man!" She was almost yelling while grumbling.

"That effin' old man! Palagi na lang akong ginagalit!"

"I was just joking." I stated.

"What?!" She yelled.

"He wasn't yet here." I further my stating. Carol blinked her lashes to process my statement. But nonetheless, again settle down into the couch, crossing her legs and arms.

"Oh." She uttered.

"Yeah." I replied.

We're both now crossing our arms and legs, gazing outside - into the insisting of pouring rain.

Student demeaned until few.

The muffled rain drops demanded the only audibility that only insists through our sense of hearing. The only comparison from the two variables - Carol and I, is the crawling cold that concede every limb of my body.

Again, I regret the loss of my cardigan.

"He's here." Carol stated after seeing her SUV. She retrieved her handbag and tube.

"C'mon, I'll give you a ride." She offered. I shrugged to decline her offer.

"He'll be here." I responded. Carol narrowed her eyes and nudges my leg with her leg.

"It's fine, c'mon. I'll worry and I'm not betraying you kaya. Baka friendship over na tayo. I don't want spending most of my time with that Ulan." She was pertaining to Rain.

"Father will be here." Her speech was suddenly punctuated with a period.

"Oh."

"I'll be going now, Brook. Bye!" She waved then striding into her SUV with her waiting butler.

Then I remained seated. The hovering raindrops bombarded the lobby as Carol's blabbermouth finally announced absence.

Minutes pass when another demeanor intrude the quitened lobby. His shoes created faint footsteps when distance inclined immediate and closer. I regarded his presence before I identified the man.
