POV: Minx (I promise you'll get more Puffy's POV later)
I woke up on the 3rd day of camp. I haven't seen Puffy since yesterday morning when I gave her my jacket. I don't know how she feels about me. I think she's mad because she wouldn't talk to me yesterday.
Hannah asked me if I would like to go to lunch with her, Kacey & QT. I denied the offer so that I could give myself more time to think. Theatre also starts today, and we are assigned to our roles. We're doing a Christmas play, which I love.
I heard a knock on the cabin door. I opened it, and I saw a small woman standing at my door with my jacket.
"Do you want this back?" I insisted she'd keep it. She smirked and walked into our cabin. I asked her if she was mad at me and continued to tell her my thoughts. "I'm not mad at you, lovely. I was just quiet that day." I nodded and stood up. "How's your wrist?" I asked. She pulled up the sleeve of the jacket and showed me. "It's doing just fine!" I smiled in joy that I didn't hurt her badly. "We better go. Theatre starts in 10 minuets." I helped her up and opened the cabin door. I never appreciated how beautiful these mountains were. They were big, smoky grey at the bottom and as white as clouds on the top. And the sound of wolves howling. It was amazing.
Puffy and I walked into the theatre building and sat down. We talked a bit until it started. "Students! We are very excited for this year's annual Theatre Camp! You are going to spend November & December (In different school zones November and December have school breaks) At our camp with your friends! Please stand so I can call your names.
After that we were assigned the parts. I got put as the background character again, and Puffy got the main role. Not good of a match. By the time we were done with theatre, 2 hours had passed. I walked her back to the cabin. I saw my leather jacket handing on her top bunk. I smiled.
I walked through the snow while the full moon casted a milky white light over me. I kept walking as I noticed something in the forest. It looked like a woman with long, jet black hair. She was looking at me. I walked towards her some more, and noticed I was just an oak tree.
silly minx.
but I swear. I saw it.
"Minx? What are you doing?" I heard a voice behind me. It was Puffy. "Go to bed, Puff. I'll be on my way, too." She nodded looking concerned as I stepped back. When she shut the door I looked back at the forest and raised my shoulders. It's nothing.
We woke up the next morning with no sun. Hannah said it was fog, so I just threw on my hoodie and sweats and went out the door. I didn't see the oak tree there the next morning. But I didn't worry about it. "Hey, Puffy!" She was eating the same baloney sandwich. She eats the same exact thing every day. "Hi, Minx. Can I ask you something?" She asked me. "Sure! What's up?", "Why were you standing alone there in the snow looking at that tree?" I looked back at the spot it was at while she was talking and started to actually question it. "I don't know. I thought I saw a wolf." I lied. She'd must think I'm crazy. "Oh, okay." She continued to nibble on her sandwich as I kept looking at the spot the oak tree was at. "I'll see ya in a bit. I have to pick something up from the cabin then I'll meet you on stage." She agreed and waved goodbye. But, of course, she didn't actually think I was going to the cabin, right?
