Sean POV

I settled down on my mattress and not long after the bathroom clicked open. Yibo appeared, with nothing but a towel around his waist and another smaller towel he was using to dry his hair, not even bothering to hide the muscles that rippled like waves each time he moved. He possessed a tan body and sculpted abs. He probably worked out at least three times a week. Damn, the sheer discipline. The water on his body made him sparkle like golden glitter on a model's eye and his expression made him radiate more dominance than a CEO could ever have.

My heart skipped a beat. I gasped and fumbled with the sheets, desperate to cover my eyes from the sight in respect, as much as I wanted to run my fingers over his smooth body. Alright, I have to admit seeing someone shirtless like THAT was truly like a heart attack. He was already gifted with his good looks and skills, and being shirtless like that just didn't seem right. Part of me wanted to ignore all common sense and look at him and enjoy the view but at the same time, part of me wanted to listen to Common Sense the anonymous and be rational and hide under the blankets and never come out.

I peeked out from the gaps of my fingers as Yibo looked at me. Something like confusion and recognition flashed in his eyes. It was at that moment that he decided that he shouldn't be walking around half-naked in a room with an employee and so he stalked to the wardrobe and pulled out a bathrobe. He wrapped it around him and tied the string in a loose knot.

"I'm sorry, Sean." he apologized. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. It's just that I'm used to having my own room that I forgot you were sharing this room with me."

"It's fine," I said, trying to look as dignified as I could. "I-I-I'll use the bathroom now."

I darted to my bag and pulled out a plain hoodie and some pants and almost ran into the bathroom. I slammed the door shut and locked it. I breathed in heavily. My heart was beating faster than usual. I looked at my watch. It was half past eleven. No wonder I was so tired.

I set my clothes on the rack and slowly stripped and doused myself in hot water. It was exceptionally relaxing and soothing. I scrubbed and washed my body and tilted my face to the shower. I closed my eyes and stood there for a few minutes, letting the water run down my face.

It had been a really hectic week. It was as if just a moment ago I would be living my boring life filming useless shoots pointlessly and earning less because I was just a puny third-rate online idol. But suddenly, Prince Charming swooped in and finally gave me something to look forward to. I know some people won't find following someone for months something to look forward to, but at least it would be better than going on shoots with directors who didn't even respect you, crews who glare at you every time you mess up your lines during an advertisement shoot and hairstylists almost ripping your hair out when they roughly comb it. Well, of course, Xander doesn't know any of this, because I know he will fire or sue those people, but I knew what it was like to be jobless so I kept all these events to myself.

I turned off the water and stepped out of the shower, drying myself and putting my sleepwear on. I ripped the package of one of those disposable toothbrushes and quickly brushed my teeth.

I quickly stepped out of the bathroom and unlocked the door, fearing to face Yibo for what had happened just now. I breathed in. It's okay, Sean. There's nothing to be scared of. It's just abdominal muscles. Nothing else. I peeked around the doorframe. Unexpectedly, Yibo was asleep and thankfully in clothes. I smiled in relief. The lights were all off but Yibo left a lamp on, illuminating the room for me so I could see. I felt grateful for what he had done. Originally, I thought his heart was made of stone. He seemed so rude, cold and emotionless when I first met him. Maybe my presence actually helped him. Maybe if he overcomes his sickness, he can find some happiness in his life one day.  I stored my dirty clothes in a bag and headed to my mattress.

"Good night, Yibo. Sweet dreams." I whispered, switching the lamp off.

Then I pulled up the blankets and slept.

Yibo POV

I heard what he said and it rang over and over again in my head. No one has been saying 'good night' to me in the past few years. Mum would be far from me as I moved away decades ago. Well, Dad... he died in a car accident several years ago. The last, illuminating lamp, clicked, and the cool room plunged into darkness. I held in my smile and made sure he was lying comfortably in bed, before turning on my side and feeling myself drift away.

Third Person POV

It was two in the morning.

His body engulfed in a fluffy comforter, rolled down awkwardly and landed with a soft, barely discernible thud on the mattress below him.

Strangely, the mattress also had an occupant. He was dozing soundly and barely moved an inch when the body came cruising down beside him.

Yibo murmured something in his sleep that sounded like 'Mhmm'. Slowly, adjusting to his new and warm mattress, he unconsciously pulled up the blanket that covered half of Sean's body up to his neck. He nuzzled his head softly against Sean's neck and buried his face there. With a timing slower than adagio, he wrapped his hands around Sean's waist and threw his leg over Sean's until they were in a spooning position.

Still, none of them noticed what was happening. All they felt was warmth and comfort lying close to each other insensately. The silence of the room was so hushed and still that you could've heard a needle falling to the ground if that happened.

They stayed in that position for the rest of the night, both in their separate worlds, but finding a sense of security with each other in the real world together.

Sean POV

I let out a yawn.

Sunlight was streaming in like a waterfall through the dark, blackout curtains. I wondered what I was going to do today whilst following my boss around. I stretched my arms, but I felt my right arm hit something soft. The thing muttered something.

Slowly, with unknown apprehension coursing through my whole body, I turned around.

Then and there, was Wang Yibo.
