i cry cosmic whales tinted with indigo
watching each of them dropping up into oceans of space time
free
i write down all the reasons to (not) love you
1. you are a rogue planet looking for a blue star to swallow you up with gravity and death / (how tragic for i am shades of neon aureolin)
2. you didn't want love; you wanted to stop dying and finally tear at the seams because your lonely life was nothing but torture / (how tragic for i wanted you to be alive)
3. you just wanted to drown in the scar in the sky, lined with milky stars reaching for the edge of the milky way / (how tragic for i tied you to lifestrings and pulled you to the shore)
but oh, even so i dream of us sometimes, a binary system
making each other alive
and i know we're over but i still cling to the hope of your return so that's why i'll leave our story on a comma,
