After that, everybody was put into lines. I was at the second line. I didn't have to wait for long before it was my turn. I looked at the piece of paper and found that it was a player consent form. I scanned through the rules carefully.
----------------
PLAYER CONSENT FORM:
Clause 1: A player is not allowed to stop playing
Clause 2: A player who refuses to play will be eliminated
Clause 3: Games may be terminated if the majority agrees to stop them
-------------------
I thought these rules were fine. It's not like it was a death match, right?
I quickly picked up the pen and scribbled my name on it. I then saw a red suit pick it up and put it on the stage. The red suit then put another form onto the lectern for the next person to sign.
After a while, everybody finished and the ones who were done sat around waiting for the others. When everybody had finished, the red suit men took the lectern away and we walked towards our beds.
Then, a loud speaker said the words, "The first game is about to begin. All players, follow the staffs' instructions and proceed to the game hall. The first game is about to begin, all players follow the staffs' instructions and proceed to the game hall."
We all walked towards the game hall. The second we entered the room, I felt a bit claustrophobic.
The game hall was ominous and huge, it was almost like I was in a video game. The walls were painted in bright pastel, and had a endless, vivid roof. It looked extremely playful and fun. I was looking forward to these games.
"Walk towards the isles and take your picture, then go into the next room."
While I was waiting for the others to finish their pictures, I tried to fix up my hair a bit. I had this small problem to always look better in photos.
When 123 finished taking his picture, I walked up forward and in front of the camera.
Please look into the camera, the camera robot assistant said. I looked into the camera and smiled. The camera clicked and I walked toward the stairs on the other side. I walked up for what seemed like hours, and I finally reached the top.
I saw somebody with bleached hair kick open a door at the top of the stairwell. The person looked annoying, and full of himself. I ignored this and followed the crowd through the door.
When I got threw, I let out a gasp of amazement like everybody else. I was in a huge room, surrounded by tall, thick walls. The walls had some sort of wallpaper of nature, so it looked like we were outside. The floor was cement and was completely empty. The room reminded me of the playgrounds and parks I used to go to when I was younger.
After I was done admiring, I heard a woman speak on the PA: The first game is about to begin. All players, please wait a small moment on the field.
The woman on the PA repeated this, and I saw everybody walk around, trying to take in everything that was around them. Some looked shocked, some disgusted, and some were amazed. I was just awestruck at how this was even possible. I wondered how I didn't notice this building before, as it must have been huge.
All of a sudden, the doors behind me closed with a huge slam. I felt my heart start beating, the way it always did when something terrible was about to happen. I was anxious out of my skin.
I looked up at the artificial sky, when I saw birds. Actual birds, flying about. This made me feel more comfortable, knowing I wasn't the only thing that was alive.
Then, I heard somebody labeled as 250 talk to the bleach haired jerk. "Hey, what's that? It looked kinda freaky, don't you think?"
I looked at the place his eyes were gazing, and I saw a huge doll like creature. It looked like a doll my sister used to play with - eyes small, lips the colour of cherry, hair pulled back. The doll was wearing a yellow polo inside, and had a orange slip dress on the outside.
I laughed. No way this was our first game. That was too easy. Or was it...?
