Draco exchanged his farewells with his mother, who was giving Eliana a tight hug, talking about how she's going to miss looking after a smelly someone.

His father, Lucius stood with an almost disgusted expression as he eyed the toddler and the other toddlers scattered around the platform.

"I don't want you slacking off" came his cold drawl as Draco took Ella in his arms again.

"Yes father" Draco nodded obediently.

Boarding the train with Ella and her carrier in hand, Draco made his way towards the Slytherin compartments.

He saw Theo sitting on the seat and Isabella standing in between his legs, on her small wobbly legs.

"Draco" Theo smiled at his blonde friend when he entered their compartment.

"Theo, Isabella" Draco nodded at the two.

"What do you say Izzy?" Theo smiled at Isabella, as Draco sat down opposite to them.

"Hewwo" the small girl waved at Draco and Ella.

"Aw, hello Izzy" Draco smiled softly as he adjusted Ella in his arms, who copied Izzy and flailed her arm around. Making Draco give out a small chuckle.

"Hello Ella" Theo shook her hand gently.

Blaise soon joined the two with Lucia.

Isabella and Lucia were the same age, the two took to waddling around the compartment. Ella was sitting in Draco's lap as she clapped her hands and gave out peels of laughter in between.

"How was summer?" Blaise questioned his two friends, after the train had left the station and was at a safe distance away from London.

"I don't know how I made through it without a hex being thrown at him" Theo chuckled darkly.

"What about you Draco? Told your father about her?" Blaise nodded his head towards Ella, who had her eyes fixed on Isabella and Lucia.

"You'd think" Draco scoffed, "Went to stay at grandmother's for a week" he shrugged.

"Dada" came Ella's voice as her stretched up to touch Draco's face.

The two other Slytherins' awed at the sight.

Draco felt his cheeks warming a bit but focused his attention on Ella. Who's big grey eyes were staring at him already.

"Yes?"

Ella didn't say anything, merely nudged her head against his chest. Grabbing onto his robes better.

"You're sleepy?" He questioned her softly as he brushed a few strands of hair back.

Soon enough the three toddlers were out. Which left the compartment in peace.

"Wicked how chaotic they can be" Blaise chuckled as he adjusted the blanket on Lucia.

Theo and Draco nodded in agreement.

They had something to eat when the trolly lady came by.

The three friends talked about their coming year and the new set-up that they had at Hogwarts.

As the train neared the station, the kids were all woken up so that they could enjoy the carriage ride.

Stepping down from the train with Ella wrapped in a blanket, Draco felt himself sigh with relief. Not that he would ever admit it out loud, but he was glad that his father wasn't around suffocating him anymore.

He was free to be himself with his daughter.

Draco walked towards the carriage as he sat other kids, some sleeping while others awake in their parents' arm.

The great hall already had a small section of food prepared for the little kids at the start of the tables.

The sixth years all sat down at the front, with their kids, a few Professors smiling at the sight, while a few like Snape remained expressionless.

Draco sat down with Ella in his lap, he decided to feed her some of the fruits and the soup.

Blowing gently on the soup before asking Ella to open her mouth, Draco fed her the soup as the first years were getting sorted.

Ella, would also clap her hands when the people around her clapped. Which made Draco chuckle softly while he reminded himself to write to his mother about it.

Sitting throughout the sorting without fidgeting and not waving and running off to their friend seemed like an extremely difficult task for the one year olds. There were kids running around, yelling for their friend from across the table.

Draco placed Ella in between his legs, as he supported her small body to stand, when a boy from thr Gryffindor table made his way over.

It was Potter's pawn.

He was with Granger's kid. Another girl.

Draco felt the most awkward he had ever felt when the three interacted. In their gibberish language.
