Detention

As they were walking into the nearly empty classroom, Dean stepped aside allowing Cas to go in first. Cas was a nervous wreck, his palms were sweating and his heart was racing. He was ready for the worst time of his life. Dean on the other hand, couldn't care less. He actually enjoyed detention. Toying with the teacher was his specialty. This detention was going to be a good one, especially since the teacher was no one other than Mr. Metatron himself.

Dean walked in and gave Mr. Metatron a smug grin, earning the nastiest look Castiel had ever seen anyone give. Mr. Metatron then put his attention strictly on Cas. Castiel was extremely embarrassed, keeping his head down as the stare caused redness to slowly creep onto his cheeks. He wasn't used to being in trouble by a teacher. From his dad, yeah, but it was totally different. At school, he was always praised as the good student, the one that always did the right thing. I mean he would get scolded at school every so often for something stupid, but nothing detention worthy. At home, no matter what he did, even if he saved the whole damn world, he would still get screamed at or hit.

Mr. Metatron didn't take his eyes off Castiel until after he awkwardly sat down in an empty seat in the front row closest to Mr. Metatron's desk and Dean strutted over to the seat next to Cas' and half jumped/half fell into it. It took every single ounce of Castiel's self control to not burst into laughter, but he knew how Mr. Metatron would react if he had. Dean sat there and acted like nothing had happened. He sat like a proper princess, crossing his legs and folded his hands on the desk very elegantly. He then put his chin up and gave Castiel a beautiful grin. Cas swore there was a twinkle in his eye. Dean knew exactly what he was doing, he was flirting with Cas and wasn't afraid if anyone noticed. Dean actually really liked Cas; at least way more than he was sure he could ever like anyone else.

Mr. Metatron cleared his throat while eyeing them both down like he was a hawk and they were the prey he was closing in on. Dean looked up at Mr. Metatron, pretending that he was actually interested in what he had to say. It took Cas a few extra moments to actually peel his eyes from Dean to look at the older man.

"Now that I have the attention of both of you, I would like to say how disappointed I am. Dean, you're new. You could have been on my good side and not gotten yourself into trouble," Dean shrugged. "Castiel...I don't know what got into you. You have never acted that disrespectful in my classroom. But unfortunately," he paused looking at Dean who was acting asleep and fake snoring loudly and obnoxiously, then carried on after a deep sigh, "This is your punishment for acting as you did. You have to sit here for another hour with nothing to do. Good luck," he said with an evil grin as he walked out of the classroom to run some daily errands. Castiel hated being scolded like that. Words can't explain how embarrassed it made him, especially since Dean was sitting next to him as the lecture was given.

Dean peeked one eye open and mouthed, "Is the beast gone?" Cas looked over at him and nodded. "Oh, finally," he said loudly with a toothy smile and bright eyes. Only a few seconds after he had said that a tall, slender woman, dressed as if she belonged in an office instead of a nasty old high school, walked into the classroom with loud clacking heels, cutting off whatever Dean had planned to say next.

Oh fuck, Cas said to himself, it was his math teacher, Mrs. Naomi. She was the worst teacher to walk the earth, well right up there with Mr. Metatron. She was way too strict and verbally abusive too. She hated Castiel with everything she had in her, of course he returned the favor. He hated her three times as much as she hated him, which was a lot.

She narrowed her eyes at Dean and Cas then gave them a big wicked grin, one that would scare you so much, you would likely run the other way as fast as you could. Dean looked at her in disgust. She had interrupted him, which he hated, and she was just extremely rude overall. He had encountered her in the hallway when he was walking to 5th period and she had yelled at him for listening to "distasteful" music so loudly. Dean was so offended he almost yelled back at her, but he knew where it would get him so he kept his mouth shut. There are things you don't do to Dean. You don't insult him, his family, his music, or his car. If you insult his 67' Chevy Impala, man you're done for, you might as well say your last words then and there.
