Alex POV-
I grab my bag, and I stuffed my knife and other crap in there. Then I made my way to the door. I take a deep breath as I step outside. I haven't in a few months, since the war started. I heard something, so I went to investigate. I quietly walk down my street and into the forest. It's dangerous to walk out here during the war, but I am risking it. I am adventurous, that's what ma said, before she passed. I grab my out knife to be safe. I walk a little ways, hearing grunts that get louder the farther I go. I finally make it to a open section of the forest. I see a man tangled up in a parachute stuck in the tree. Part of it was wrapped around his neck and he was struggling to get it off. He was....wearing a rebel outfit. I know, I am in Britain and we are in a war against the colonies, but I have to save him. I run towards him which made him look surprised. I finally got a good look of him. He was bald, had blue gray eyes, he was in between black and white. I walk closer to him and I start climbing the tree.
"What....are you doing kid!" He barley chokes out.
"One I am not a kid, two I am helping you," I say reaching him in the tree and cutting the rope from his neck.
"You....are British...why...?"
"I hate living here and being considered a villain, I want to help," I say finishing cutting the ropes and he falls.
"I can't thank you enough kid, but you should go back to your home with your parents,"
"I...don't have parents...or a home..." I lied about the home, I have foster parents but they are jerks.
The man stares and nods.
"Names lieutenant George Washington,"
"Alexander Hamilton,"
"If you can help me find where the...." he says pulling out his map. "Stonewall tower,"
"Oh! I been there tons of times, me and my friends used to play there all the time, I can help!" I say trying to drag him.
"You really think you can drag me-?"
"I....can try!" I yell back and he laughs.
"Just lead me Alex,"
I nod and I lead the way.
