    Alex POV-
    I was sleeping with Smokey on my lap when I was jolted awake my gunshots. Washington gets up from his chair and Lafayette looks up from his book. Washington looks out the window and I see his face go pale. Both me and Lafayette gets up and goes over.
    "What?" We both say. Washington goes past us and grabs his gun, both me and Lafayette look out and we see Mulligan running while redcoats are chasing him. Both me and Lafayette looked at eachother and nodded. He grabbed his gun and I grabbed my knife and we went out to help Mulligan. Washington was at another window aiming to shoot one of the redcoats while we ran out.
