Calcium & Thyroidectomy
Approx 5% of patients who have had a thyroidectomy will have temporarily low calcium levels post surgery and <1% will have permanently low levels. Routine calcium supplements for the first few weeks help avoid symptoms of ↓ calcium. It is caused by poor parathyroid function, and typically presents with associated symptoms of tingling around the lips, hands, and/or feet.

Candesartan
Angiotensin receptor blocker for HTN (Has a very low maintenance dose).

Capsulectomy (Capsular Contracture)
          Surgical removal of abnormally thick, hardened tissue, that forms around breast implants. Breast implant is removed and usually replaced.

Carbamazepine (Tegretol)
          Anticonvulsant and analgesic drug used to control seizures and treat trigeminal neuralgia pain.

Carbimazole
For hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid)

Cardizem
          Calcium Channel blocker ☞ angina, HTN, arrhythmias

Carvidolol
          For HTN, congestive heart failure & left ventricular dysfunction.

Casein
          A phosphoprotein, 80% cows milk, & 20% human milk.

Nerves at bottom of spine (lit. Horse Tail)
