Chapter 21 ~surprised~

   Toga finished a little but after you, and put her plate in the sink. She went back and sat on the chair that she was on before.  

    When she was ready to give her answer, she would be sure that she wasn't going to be hurt. She didn't want to go through that kind of pain again..
   Going back to (M/n), he had gone back to cooking something small for Eri to make sure that she was well fed.
    'I should really get a job soon..but where? Maybe a coffee shop or something..'  His thoughts began to wander as he was cooking scrambled eggs.
   They didn't take long and he made sure not to burn them. Grabbing a plate and putting it on the counter, he put the scrambled eggs on and set them to the side so that he could work on the toast.

   Just as he put the bread in the toaster, he could hear the soft footsteps of a small child coming down the hallway to the kitchen.
   "Bubba? What are you cooking? *yawn*" Eri asked in a tired tone, looking up at the tall male.
   "I'm making breakfast for you since I had already eaten, and I figured that you wanted something to munch on." He spoke, looking down and smiling at her.

    "Thank you bu*yawn*bba-" she tried to say, still in a tired daze. "Come on kid, your breakfast is almost ready, take a seat." The male said, hearing the toaster beep, telling him that the toast was ready.
   He took the toast, putting some butter on the toast and putting it on the plate next to the scambled eggs.

   Handing Eri the plate of food,  he sat down next to her because he knew that she didn't like to be alone in the mornings.
  
   Not paying attention to the figure in the doorway, Eri tried making small a conversation with (m/n).

   "So bubba..uhm..what do you think about Mr. Tommy? I always see you staring at him. Do you like him as more than friends?" Eri asked, very curious as to what you might say.
   "...it's complicated. But let's say that I was head over heals for Tommy, unfortunately he's straight and could never love a guy like me. There's no point in trying if I'm chasing after someone who would never find an interest in men..
    I should have realized that he wasn't into guys before I started to catch feelings, the fault is mine.." Your voice was cracking and your eyes were watering.

   "Love is nothing but pain, Eri. It only causes problems for those who are unlucky enough to experience it....
    Now, why don't you finish your breakfast while I call Aizawa-sensei alright?" You tell her, wiping the few tears that rolled down your cheeks.

   Walking away, you step in another room to call Mr. Aizawa. The time zone may be screwed, but you needed to see how things were going.

   "Hey Eri, I'm Wilbur, I don't know if I got to properly introduce myself to you. I couldn't help but overhear the conversation and I wanted to let you in on a little secret.
      BUT, you can't tell (m/n) because it's a secret, and that would spoil the surprise, alright?" Wilbur explained softly to Eri, making sure to keep his voice down so you wouldn't hear.

Sorry if I haven't posted in a month, school is kind of stressful and I'm going to Hawaii on the 15th. I'll try and post if my lazy ass gets inspiration but until then, see you next time.  :D
