The meeting took place at the Castle. Nobody in the room wanted to speak first. Erica pulled the tray of macaroons closer to her tasting one and humming at how it melted in her mouth. Selina asked her if she was high to which Erica grinned sheepishly. Selina turned towards the group of older women sitting across the table from her snarling at them. Ms. Washington returned the snarl rolling her eyes back at her. Giselle fidgeted with the scarf around her neck hiding her latest bruises. She'd adjusted it several times since the meeting started. They all waited impatiently for their main guest to arrive.

Giselle took the opportunity to speak first before Audrey arrived. "Which one of you bitches killed Lena? You know that I wasn't finished with her yet, and by-the-way, they know her body isn't buried in New Orleans anymore."

Erica lifted her hands up in the air. Several of her golden bracelets clicked together with the gesture. "It wasn't me. I don't even know Lena."

The Golden women group passed glances back and forth. "I want to know which one of you killed Richard? He might have been a dictator, but he didn't deserve that," Ms. Washington spoke up.

Selena tossed her long auburn curls over her shoulder slamming her hand against the table. "For fucks sake! I have better things to do with my time than sit here listening to you bitches cry about that freak Richard. He abandoned me and our daughter. He only started this weird Unicorn counsel so that he could control all our private lives. I'm glad that he'd dead! We are better off without him."

Erica was about to take another macaroon. She stopped and placed the treat back on the silver tray. The company surrounding her made her nauseous, but she had to speak up.

"Are we really better off though Selina? Larry is in charge now. What I've heard about him doesn't sound good. He might be worse than Ri. He and his brother have weapons now. I've communed with the Orisha's since Ri's been gone and I don't like the messages I'm getting."

Selina turned her body slowly to the right to look Erica in her hazel eyes. "That hocus-pocus bullshit doesn't mean anything to me. We have a serious situation on our hands. I think that Richard should have left the counsel in the hands of a capable woman. For all we know, Richard Paschal died of being an asshole. Larry is just a bottom bitch, what does he know about running the counsel? Now, that boy has all the dirt on us. He can use it any way he wishes. Do you want him controlling our lives forever? Can you imagine me, of all people, begging for clients at the feet of a man who fell for that bullshit we set up?"

"You are so mean," Erica whispered underneath her breath. Giselle rolled her eyes at the comment. A collective sigh went around the room. The Golden gals group all picked up their glasses of wine gulping it down.

Giselle kept glancing at the door. "When is she going to get here? I need to get back to my tour. Nobody asked me, but I think that Larry is the perfect choice. At least he knows about the Entertainment industry. I was going to ask him for some help with connecting to Swissco for the new music. I hear that they've been working with him."
