The shot burned your throat as you quickly swallowed it, followed soon after by another. Then another. Then another, until you couldn't feel the burn anymore.

You knew that Lisa wouldn't want you doing this, but then again, she ended things with you last night.

"It's just not the same anymore." Her words rang in your head like a clock when it struck twelve.

She's been the love of your life for two years, just for it to be thrown away because "it's not the same anymore."

"Bullshit." You whispered as you downed another shot.

Although, it probably sounded something more like "burshitl" considering you've already had more than 6 shots.

You feel a hand on your shoulder, turning you back. It's your friend, Jenny, saying something you can't quite make out.

"You gheed to bop, Y/N." You giggled, clearly mishearing everything she was saying.

"Boop boop bop bop." You said between laughs, walking around the entire room.

Jenny grabs you and holds you steady, saying her words more firmly.

"You need to stop, Y/N. You can't just forget about Lisa by drinking her away. Lets just go back to my place." She tries to grab your hand, but you pull away, walking back to the vodka.

"No...mmm...I don't want to remember the name Lisa tonight, I need more shots." Jenny scoffs and walks away, so you just pour yourself another shot.

About 10 minutes later, there's another tap on your shoulder.

"Jenny, I said-" You stop halfway through your sentence.

"L-Lisa? What are you doing here, did my mom invite you too? Too? Too? Hehehe. Too is a funny word." She rolls her eyes as you keep repeating the word "too" unable to get a grip of yourself.

"Y/N, you need to stop drinking. This is so unlike you. Come on, we're getting in the car." You pull away from her grip making a full 360 turn and laughing while doing it.

"nnnnoooooooo Lisa. You...lllisten here...you broke up with me. And that? That broooooke my heart okay? So you just need to let me keep taking these shots! Dddddoes that sound awesome or what?" You see in her eyes what looks like regret, but vanishes before you can be sure.

She grabs your arm, tightening her grip so you can't pull away, and leads you to the car.

"Hey, this has to be assault or something? COPS? COPS? WHERES THE POPO WHEN YOU NEED EM? HELLOOOOOO? SNOOP DOGG, A LITTLE HELP."

You hear Lisa chuckle as she helps you in the car, buckling your seat belt for you. She sits next to you, adjusting it so your comfortable, and your drunken self slumps your head on her shoulder.

She smiles and grabs your hand, squeezing it tightly.

"It'll be okay, Y/N. I promise."

"But I miss you." You mumble.

"I miss you, too." You smile as you close your eyes, the next thing you know, her car is on the freeway.

You slightly open your eyes and realize that every couple minutes, Lisa is looking back and checking on you.

You stir and she instantly looks back, concerned.

"What's wrong?" She asks with worried eyes.

"Mmmmm....." you groan.

"I've got you." She reaches her hand back and holds yours tightly, keeping her eyes on the road.

You let your eyes fall shut again, and open them to Lisa unbuckling your seatbelt. You look around and realize you're at her house.

She picks you up bridal style and you let your head rest against her chest. You give a small smile as she kisses the top of your head, making you feel safe and warm.

She brings you inside and gives you a big cup full of water, standing next to you after.

"Do you seeeeeeriously expect me to drink ALLLLLL this water? It's so much. It's like half da ocean shawty." She chuckles and nods, helping you bring it to your mouth after you spilled it a couple times.

After more than an hour passed, you could feel yourself sobering up. Lisa had helped you into her bed, tucking you into the covers.

She was sitting next to you rubbing your back as you tried not to throw up.

"Lisa?" You whispered.

"I'm here." She said softly.

"Why did you break up with me?" The sober part of you was screaming to shut your mouth, but you were still too drunk to listen.

"I really don't know anymore, Y/N."

It stays silent for a while as she continues rubbing your back.

"I want to date you. That's all...*hiccup* I want." She smiles and lays down next to you.

"That's what I want, too."

"What are you saying, Lisa?" I turn around to face her, our lips only inches from each other.

"I'm saying I made a mistake."
