Lost

An explanation

"You did what!" Sawyer screamed at Hugo.

"Sawyer calm down." Kate said

"Calm down. Did you just ask me to calm down? You may have had the chance to leave this damn island freckles but I've been stuck here for much to long and I have had enough of this whole thing. I should never have jumped from that helicopter, I should just have pushed you off. And I'm sorry Claire for letting her leave like that with your baby not caring about what you would think. Worst of all Kate is that you havn't even felt what it's like to lose someone you love because of this stupid island." He said outraged.

Kate stood and ran outside, almost in tears. No one bothered going after her. They had all been together long enough to realize when someone wanted to be alone.

"It's alright." Claire said looking at Sawyer.

"What is?" He said not remembering what he had said earlier.

"That she left with Aaron. It was my fault, I should never have left him. It's to late though. I have no one left now that Charlie's dead and Aaron is gone." She said trying to hold back tears.

"Claire?" Hurley asked softly.

"Would you like to come with me to the looking glass station, to put a cross there, for Charlie?" He continued.

"Thank you Hugo, I'd really like that" Claire answered getting up and going towards the back of the house where the rooms were.

"You can take the main room." Ben said to her.

"You should all get some rest. It seems we're going to the looking glass tomorrow." He finished.

One after the other everyone got up. Sawyer, Miles and Lapidus each took one of the three couches and soon fell asleep. Hurley went to the guest bedroom and Richard and Ben went outside to talk. They left Alex's room for Kate.

"What do you want to know?" Ben asked Richard as they walked outside.

"What you know." He answered

"I don't know anything." Ben said with a puzzled look on his face.

"You always seem to know something, so what is it? What about Desmond what happened to him? You must know something." Richard said.

"All I know is that Desmond was standing beside us and then the sky turned white there was a loud sound and when everything was normal again Desmond was gone and a plane was falling from the sky." Ben said turning around and walking inside all the way to his secret room.

He then slid open the door went inside and closed it again. Richard came in and sat on the armchair just as Kate walked in.

"Ben says you can take Alex's room" Richard said.

Without saying anything else she walked on down the hall and into the room closing the door behind her.

A few minutes later, everyone was asleep.
