Aneela's POV:

I was sitting at the gate for my flight to Chicago. I looked around, as I opened my mouth as wide as I could to fit in the last remaining bit from my subway sandwich.

Shouldn't have done that! Yeh toh bht bada bite hai.

I quickly glanced around hoping that no one had noticed me do so, and gulped it down with a big sip of Pepsi that came with the sandwich.

"Ugh traveling alone is so boring!", I said to myself, making a weird face.

I was looking around hoping to find a book store or something of that sort, so I could buy a book to read while on the plane, when my eyes fell upon a guy sitting about 6 rows ahead of me.

"Lag toh desi raha hai.", I said to myself.

He was sitting all alone, with his white Beats headphones plugged in, and his head tilted, resting on the back of the chair, and his eyes closed. His mouth hung slightly open.

Banda ha bada cute!

"The gates to American Airlines flight AA 807, flying to Chicago will open in 5 minutes! May I please request the passengers flying in the gold class to step ahead first?", announced one of the airport crew, and everyone in the waiting lounge who had the gold class pass stood up to get in line.

I glanced at the desi guy, and to my surprise he got up too.

He's flying in gold class too?

I gathered my luggage, that was lying on the floor and got in lone behind a fat man. He was so fat that his body literally blocked my entire view.

"Great! Now I can't see where that desi boy is going!", I shook my head.

"Excuse me maam? Did you say something?", the man in fron of me turned around. He had a big moustache, and a long beard that almost covered his entire face.

Only his big round eyes were visible.

Kamaal hai! Log itni badi moochein rakhte kyu hai?

"Nothing!", I forced a smile. "I have a habit of talking to my self."

"Suit yourself.", he said turning around.

I bent towards my right trying to peep out infront, to see if could find the desi boy but to my luck, he was gone!

UGHHH!

I soon presented my passport to the lady at the counter, who did some weird scanning on my passport, and then handed me back my boarding pass, and smiled, "Have a safe flight."

"Thanks!", I smiled back grabbing my passport and walking towards the aircraft,

Once I was in the aircraft I walked to my seat 4F and sat down. I glanced around hoping I'd see the desi boy somewhere.

I just wanted a conversation partner to talk to through this long boring flight to Chicago, and who could be better than a desi person?

He was out of sight, and I just accepted the reality that I wasn't going to see him again, and put on one of the Bollywood movies on the screen.

The flight took off, and within the next 4 hours, we had already landed.

It didn't seem that long, now that I come to think of it, considering the fact that I slept almost throughout the entire flight.

I couldn't be happier to be back home after an entire month. I didn't see desi boy that day after that. I don't know where he disappeared. It was almost as if he were just a dream and nothing else. Later on, I got busy in my life and had totally forgotten about him, as if I had never seen him.
