Hussain's POV:
I pushed them away, and made my way out of the room as fast as I could.
I entered the lobby, which was filled with people hustling about, doctors in white coats, patients, nurses etc. I looked around trying to find an exit door. I wanted to get out of there as fast as I could.
"Sir what are you doing here?", one of the nurses exclaimed, "Doctor ko bulao jaldi!"
I ignored her, and kept walking, taking big steps.
As I hurried across the lobby, my knees felt week, almost like they weren't able to hold up my body.
I walked over to the nearby door, lean against it for support, but the door was unlocked which pushed me in, as I tried to lean against it.
My eyes fell on a couple. The man was holding the woman in her arms, while she cried uncontrollably.
They were standing by the bed, on which lay another lady, dressed similar to me, the same navy blue patient uniform. She had a bandage on her head, and the weird wires, and tubes running across her arms.
I looked up at her face my head throbbed, and I moaned in pain as I felt a sharp pinching pain running across my brain.
My eyes were giving up on me and my vision was getting blurred. I couldn't see anything clearly, and I started feeling dizzy.
Before I knew, I fell down to the ground, banging my head on the floor.
Saqib's POV:
"Feeling better?", I smiled.
Aneela looked up at me, and nodded without any expression.
"Okay...now tell me, do you know him?", I asked as I turned on the projector which displayed her father's picture on the screen.
She straed at the picture for a while and said, "No."
"How about her?", I asked, showing her a picture of her mother.
"No.", she nodded again.
"And him?", I showed her brother, Kamil's picture, but she didn't recognize him either.
"Okay Anee...la, agar tumhey zara sab hi yaad aye, toh tum mujhey bataogi..okay?", I said trying to sound as kind as I could.
She nodded obediently.
"I'm moving ahead, and agar tumhey kuch bhi yaad aaye, toh tum mujher stop bologi!", I told her and strated scrolling through the pictures.
Yara, Hafsa, Shehryaar, Maha, Asif Uncle, Shaista Aunty..but she didn't recognize any of them.
I looked up at her before I moved on to the next picture.
"Isey pehchaanti ho Aneela?", I asked as the screen showed Hussain's picture.
She raised her eyes up at the screen.
She stared at Hussain's photo for a good 3 minutes.
"C'mon Aneela, koshish karo..", I spoke, "Pehchaanti ho isey?"
Aneela's POV:
"C'mon Aneela, koshish karo..", the doctor spoke, "Pehchaanti ho isey?"
I stared at the picture of a man, probably in his twenties. He had a little bit of stubble, and his hair was perfectly set with gel. He was wearing adark blue suit in the picture.
As I stared at his picture, my head began to spin. I felt a piercing pain running across my brain, and my vision began to get blurry. Everything around me turned black and white, and felt like it was moving.
I caught my head as I moaned pain.
"Are you okay?', the doctor hurried towards me while I still moaned.
"My head...its hurting...can we please do this later?", I groaned.
The doctor glanced back at the screen before turning back to me and said, "Yeha we can do this later.... you're recovering really good. You need rest now. Please don't think about anything.", he consoled me and called for a nurse, and ordered her to take me back to my room.
Saqib's POV:
I watched the nurse, as she supported Aneela, and walked her back to her room.
I turned around and looked at Hussain's photo.
"It all makes sense to me now!", I whispered to myself.
