A week later:

Shehry's POV:

I walked into Hussain and Aneela's room, where all there stuff was being packed away in order for Hussain's preparation to come home. The doctor had advised them to stay away from each other, and had advised us to move away any thing that would remain them of each other.

I saw Hafsa standing there staring at a picture of Hussain and Aneela.

"Hafsa?",I called out, but she didn't respond. She was lost in her own thoughts, so idecided to call again, but this time a little louder, "Hafsa?"

She flinched, at being brought back into reality. Wiping away her tears, she asked, "How's Hussain?"

"He's fine. He's sleeping. Mama aur baba hai uske saath.", I said. Placing my hand on her shoulder and turning her around I asked, "How are you?"

She broke down, as tears streamed through her tired cheeks. "Shehry!", she said throwing her self upon me, as I hugged her. "Sambhalo apne aap ko Hafsa. Maine kaha na kuch ni hoga.", I stroked her hair, "Sab theek ho jayega."

She pulled back, "Kaise theek ho jayega Shehry? Kaise?", she sobbed, "Hum Hussain ki zaindagi se Aneela ko mita rahe hain. Uski saari yaadon ko chupa rahe hain.", she said as I looke around at all the photo frame, and other things that were being taken down and being packed away, in order to avoid any kind of  trauma to Hussain, since he was getting discharged. "Kaise theek hoga? Hussain Aneela ko sabse zyada yaar karta hai. Aur hum....hum un dono ko hamesha ke liye alag kar rahe hain.", she added, as I watched her tiny tears fall down to the ground.

Her head fell  against my chest, "Kuch theen nahi hogay Shehry.", she cried.

I hugged her with both my arms and patted her back.

Sara's POV:

I threw their last photograph in my hand, into the fireplace as I watched them burn into ashes.

"Kya kar rahi ho tum?", Jamal pulled me back, plunging his hand into the fire, as he pulled out the burnt pictures.

"Kya kar rahi ho tum?", he asked, this time with a firm tone.

"Aneela ki zindagi se....uski pichli zindagi ko jala kar raakh!", I replied, pulling away the one picture that he managed to save from the fireplace. I tore into pieces and threw it into the fire.

"Sara!", he yelled, grabbing me by the arms, as Yaara watched us in disbelief.

"Pagal ho gayi ho kya tum? Yeh Muskaan ki zindagi hai. Koi haq nahi banta tumhara ke tum uski zindagi se uska ateet cheen lo!", he gritted his teeth in anger, as his grip became stringer, and his nails dug into my skin.

"When she will recover, and ask you about Hussain....tab kya karogi tum? When she'll ask you about, photos, videos and albums, what will you tell her?", he added.

I turned my face towards him, "Usi din ka toh intezaar kar rahi hoon main, Jamal! Woh din aane se pehle, main Hussain ka naam aur nishan mita dungi uski zindagi se."

Jamal held his head in his hands with frustration.

I continued, "Usney diya hi kya hai humari beti ko, itne saalon mein?", I paused, "Oh kuch diya hai na, SIRF DUKH!"

"Bas karo Sara!", he looked at me, with his eyes, almost piercing mine.

I ignored him and acontinued, "Ab bas! Ab meri Aneela apni zindagi naye sire se shuru karegi. She's only gonna have happiness in her life now. No more crying, no more fights, and no more HUSS-"

"Sara!", Jamal stopped me before I could complete my sentence. "Baat ko samajhne ki koshish karo tum."

"Tum samajhne ki koshish karo Jamal! Yeh humari dua hai jo Aneela ke liye kaam ayi hai. Allah ne humey Aneela ki zindagi sawarne ka ek aur mauka diya hai. Samjho.", this time I grabbed him by the arms.

"Sara, when she regains her memory, what are you going to do?", he raised his voice at me.

I let go of his hands, and stamped my feet on the ground, "Tum baar baar ek hi sawaal kar rahe ho. Who din kabhi nahi ayega. Aur agar aya bhi, toh it will be a new day for her. Woh tab tak apni zindagi mein bohot aagey nikal chuki hogi.", I paused and looked at him, "Aur uski zindagi mein Hussain ka naam aur nishan nahi hoga.", I said, almost as if I was warning him.

Jamal held my face, with his strong grip, "Tum Aneela ki maa ho ya dishman? Ek baar yaad rakhna Sara. Agar Aneela ki memory wapis nahi ayi, toh uski zindagi adhoori hogi.It will never be complete."

"Galat!", I yelled. "Bilkul galat Jamal. Uski zindagi ab jaake poori hogi."

Jamal looked at me with his eyebrows furrowed.

"New people, new house, and new reasons for happiness. We have to do this for happiness, Jamal!", I said before turning around towards the fireplace. I picked another pile of photographs and threw them into the fire.

"You've gone crazy. What are you doing?!", he yelled back at me. He pushed me away and pulled out the burnt pictures once again.

"Sahi kar rahi hu main. Don't stop me. Kabhi kabhi mujhe lagta hai ki main Aneela se jitna pyaar karti hu, aur koi nahi karta. Aur khaas karke tum tum toh bilkul nahi."

Narrative POV:

Sara stomped out of the room, in anger, and Jamal looked at the burnt pictures in dismay. Wiping away his tears, he followed her.

Yara walked upto the fireplace, and brushed her hands through the ashes until she came across a picture that managed to survive the fire.

The corners were burnt off, but the faces were intact.

She brushed away the ashes, and held the picture close to her heart as a tear drop fell right from her eye onto the ground.

Shehry's POV:

It had been an hour, and Hafsa hadn't stopped crying yet. I watched her bury her face in her knees as she sobbed continues.

I leaned forward, releasing my back from the head board of the bed, and caught her hand.

"Dekho Hafsa, Hussain ki zindagi ka yeh hissa mita nahi hai. Bas..kuch waqt ke liye us par parda gir gaya hai.", I spoke as she listened to me with all ears.

"Aur jis din kismat saath degi, who duno unke beech ka yeh parda utaar phenkenge.", I said wiping away her tears, with my other hand.

"And we're doing all this only for them to get better as soon as possible. So that they can recognize each other. So that they can come close to each other.", I said, hoping to bring a smile on her face, even if it was for a few seconds.

But my words only made here even more sad.

"But Shehry, tum aur mein aisa chahte hain. Who aurat, Sara Khan, who aisa nahi hone degi!", she shook her head. "Usey toh accident ke bahane ek sunehra mauka mil gaya. Hussain aur Anee ko hamesha ke liye alag karne ka. She wants to separate the forever!"

Narrative POV:

The two families were at the hospital getting done with paper work for Hussain and Aneela's discharge, while the two of them had no idea what was happening.

After the paperwork was done, each of the families escorted them out of their rooms, and walked across the corridor.

Their rooms were on the opposite side, which meant that they would have to cross each other.

The families looked at each other, but continued walking until they were almost very near.

As they took those final steps, and walked past each other, Hussain's and Aneela's hands brushed very lightly against each other, making the two of them stop.
