Chapter 7 Chris's POV
"Okay bestfriend let's go back to class like the good kids we are," I say. I help Drew up and grab her hand and start skipping down the hall. She does the same and she's starting to look a lot happier. We stop at the bathrooms. Drew goes in and comes out looking a lot better. "The bell is about to ring we need to hurry," I say. Drew nods. We get back to class after everyone has left. Mrs.O hands us both a pink detention slip. "What did I do now?," Drew asks. "You ran out of class without permission. Your detention is tomorrow afternoon and I forgot to give you today's detention," Mrs.O says as she hands us two more detention slips. We get our stuff together and make our way to our lockers. "What bus do you ride?," I ask Drew. "110 but my house is walking distance if I can't ride," she replies. "Same bus as me! What's your aunt's name?" I ask. "Lea" Drew replies. "She's friends with my mom! If you walk through my backyard and through those woods that's where you live. I hang out with your cousins," I say. "Great now I have someone to walk home with," Drew says with a smile. We get our stuff together and head to detention. "We have to go to detention room A let's hope Jaydean and Danny are here" I say. Drew nods. We open the door to Mr.Potts giving us a wonderful greeting, "You're late".
