Quinn and Logan (After the Prom) ~ ZOEY 101

Chapter 18 - Don't have an excuse

Logan walks into Quinn's room nervously as he is trying to piece together what he is going to say to her.

Quinn gestures for him to sit on the sofa. He sits down and she sits next to him, but at a distance.

"Go on then?" Quinn bluntly says.

"Ummm... First of all I just want to say that I am so sorry and it's killing me slowly. I never and will never want to hurt you at all! It all happened so quickly."

"If I wasn't watching, would of you told me that it happened?"

"If I'm being honest, probably not.... BUT the reason why is not because I want to lie to you!"

"Well would of been the reason then?"

"Because it was nothing! It meant nothing!"

"You and her slept together as well! You didn't tell me that! I thought it was our special moment"

"It was our special moment! It was the best thing that has ever happened to me. Yes I did it with Dana before, but nothing could compared to ours"

"How am I meant to believe you Logan?"

"Please just try to because I'm being 100% honest with you."

"My heart wants to believe you, but my brain is telling me to kick you out right now!"

"Listen to your heart then!"

"You and I both know I follow my brain"

"Please... Try and listen to your heart, even if it's just a little bit"

They both stay silent and look into each others eyes. Logan leans in and Quinn follows. They start to kiss each other, the kiss is passionate and meaningful. It's like they hadn't kissed in years and it was the best feeling ever and it felt so right.

Quinn suddenly pulls away.
"No Logan! You can't just kiss me and make all this go away!" Quinn says as she pushes him off and moves away.

"Sorry... I didn't mean it like that." Logan says moving back.

"I don't know what to do now?" Quinn says staring into space.

"I don't know what you want me to say?"

"I don't want you to say anything! It's all lies with you! I will tell you what I didn't want you to do... KISS ANOTHER GIRL!"

"I KNOW! I HATE MYSELF FOR DOING THAT QUINN!"
Logan yells so loud that someone next door bangs on the wall and shouts "SHUT UP" back.

"Just leave." Quinn says gesturing to the door.

"Let me say one more thing."

"Fine! Then you leave"

"Yes I never told you about mine and Dana's past and I know that was wrong, but I never saw the point of saying anything. Now the kiss... I did push her off me and you know I did, yes I shouldn't of let it happen and yes I probably should of pushed her off faster... But... but... I don't even know what to say to that? I don't have an excuse for that. I am a jerk and I'm so stupid and I will hate myself forever for this. I've lost you and that means I've lost someone who I truly love and who saw me for the real me, not just the rich kid. I've lost someone who is smart, beautiful and caring... I'm the biggest idiot in the world. I just can't believe that I'm that stupid that I hurt someone who is literally the most amazing person ever! I've hurt not only the love of my life BUT one of my closets friends who I've known for years, the one I use to love to tease, the one who helped me with any situations and the one who I would often look at, even before we were dating, because I always thought there was something about her that I liked"

Logan's eyes start to water.
"I guess I will go now. Sorry" Logan says as he stands up.

Quinn doesn't say anything, she just stares at the wall and tears start to roll down her cheek.

Logan opens the door, looks back at Quinn and then shuts it. He quickly leaves the dorm because he doesn't want anyone to see him cry.

Quinn is sitting on the sofa still just looking at the wall, almost like she has zoned out.
The front door starts to unlock and it doesn't even make Quinn flinch or anything.

"Hey Quinn!" Lola says as she walks in with Vince.

Quinn doesn't respond, she just sits there.

"Quinn?" Vince says as he looks at Lola concerned.

"QUINN!" Lola shouts.

Quinn suddenly comes out of her daydream and wipes her eyes.

"Oh... Hey guys" Quinn says to them both, trying to act natural.

"Are you alright?" Vince asks.

"Yeah of course." Quinn says standing up and brushing herself down.

"You don't look it" Lola adds

"I'm fine!" Quinn sternly says.

Lola and Vince look at each other with concern.

"Anyway! I'm sure you guys want some alone time, so I will leave you guys" Quinn says while picking up her keys.

"It's fine if you say" Vince says

"Yeah! Please stay!" Lola begs.

"I'm just getting some fresh air. I will be back soon" Quinn says existing the room.

"I'm worried about her" Lola says to Vince.

"She didn't seem right at all" Vince says.

"I wonder if something happened on her double date thing?"

"Maybe..."

"Or maybe Logan has said or done something"

"I just can't believe him, I thought he had changed?"

"I know. I just hope Quinn is going to be okay"

Vince hugs Lola to comfort her and he kisses the top of her head.
