Jill pulled her knees to her chest and screamed. “Leave me alone!” Her body and voice shook as fresh tears ran down her cheeks. Sobs ripped at her throat as she dreaded the thought of what would happen if the door unlocked.

“I won’t allow you to kill her,” Clover said, gathering as much courage as she possibly could. Her tiny, but firm voice made Nickolai smile.

“How cute, now open the door.”

“This is your fault you stupid, fucking cop. If you arrested this sick fuck when he killed Brent, this wouldn’t have been a problem!” Jill yelled.

“Jill, please. Don’t provoke him.” Clover let her guard down and turned to face Jane who’s fear had consumed her at that point.

“Shut up, you useless cop!” She screamed, her hand made contact with Clover’s cheek.

Clover was silent as the stringing feeling burned her face. Silence filled the air before Nickolai took a step back and pulled out a gun. It was a common black police gun. It must have been Jessie’s. Why else would he have a cop gun?

He shot the glass and it shattered, Jane screamed. He shoved his fingers through the hole. He hit the glass with his fist. His knuckles were bleeding. However, he continued punching with a straight face. He hit it over and over. He was pissed. He just wanted to watch Jane bleed to death at that point. The glass broke and he reached out to her. With a bloody hand, he managed to grab her leg.

“Stop!” Clover said grabbed his hand, pulling it away.

“I’m happy that Kelly killed herself, she was such a bitch. You should be grateful. She would have ruined your life the way she ruined mine.”

He saw red and pulled backed, cocking the gun. Clover unlocked the door and Jill ran out of the car as fast as she could. Nickolai bolted to her.

Sirens echoed in the air. Four police cars were driving to the scene. Not that Nickolai cared at all, he need to kill her. She needed to die. The cops drove as fast as they could as they barely saw silhouettes of Jill, Nickolai, and Clover.

He moved faster than before both of them could react. A bang echoed through the area. Clover winced, closing her eyes. There was pure silence before the ringing in her ears. Nickolai’s laugh echoed after a few seconds. It was followed by 5 more gunshots. It muffled the sirens.  His laugh was loud and insane. It was out of triumph.

Clover dared to open her eyes. Jill laid on the floor. A dozen bullets in her body as she bled to death. She turned on her back and flipped Nickolai off.

“Fuck you.” She cussed, blood spitting from her mouth, but he finished her off with a bullet to the head.

Clover stared in shock. He did it again, he killed before her very eyes. He walked to her, still feeling pissed.

“How could you kill her? She was scared. She didn‘t deserve to die.” She cried out. Her voice was high-pitched. She couldn’t breathe. “No, No, No.” She chanted, clutching her head.

Nickolai’s eyes widened as he realized that she was having a meltdown. She started crying and dropped to her knees. Her thoughts clouded her mind.

“She’s right, I’m a coward. I’m useless. I hate myself so much.” She cried, holding her forehead to the floor in a sort of comfort ball. She was screaming unable to control herself.

She was useless. Stupid. Weak. Pathetic. What a loser. Couldn’t save anyone? Why was she even a cop if she couldn’t save the people around her? Even Jessie had disappeared. She was positive Nickolai killed her. She couldn’t even defend the girl she loved. She could just kill herself. She deserved to die.
