Chapter 5

I opened my eyes and glanced at the ceiling. Smiling I looked over at Mikey and kissed his forehead softly before making my way into the bathroom. Sitting on the toilet I opened my phone to see what I missed last night. Texts from Nia and Nino took over my screen.

Nia wanted to know If I could call her out of work & Nino wanted to talk to me about something.

I got dressed and got an uber back home. I know Mikey is going to be mad I left early but I kind of wanted a 'me-day' where I go get my nails done and get facials and stuff. I wanted to start early.

As I was getting ready to start my day Nino unexpectedly called me.

"Hello?" I answered confused.

"Finally your phone broke or something?" Nino laughed.

I smiled as I was finishing getting my shoes on.
"I'm sorry Nino I haven't been checking my phone."

"So what you about to get into ? It seem like you on your way out"

"I was just gonna go get my nails done and stuff just have a self care day you know... we'll you probably don't because you don't care and Im talking to much aint I-?" I said nervously.

Nino laughed. "Cool I can be their in like 20 min that's cool with you?"

"What you mean? Im going out and doing shit I know your probably not interested in we can smoke later tho."

"I don't have shit else to do today, I needa go to the mall anyways. Im getting ready now like I asked before is 20 min enough time? I see you soon!" Nino hung up the phone.

Trying to understand what just happened I picked up my phone to call Nia.

"Bitch you couldn't call me outta work?" Nia answered.

"I slept over at mikey's So I didn't really have my phone I'm sorry. But bitch listen to this... So i'm on getting dressed and shit cause I got all my appointments today and Nino calls me talking bout be ready in 20 minutes and he's coming to get me and take me to my appointments and shit, than he's talking about the mall like brooo what should I do?"

"Naaa don't ask for my help now, yesterday it was oh i'm a big girl and shit, so you got this." Nia said sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes and hung up. I walked downstairs to see my father standing over the stove.

"Dad? what on earth are you doing?" I laughed.

"Just because I burned a few things in my past means i'm not allowed to use my own stove?" My dad added laughing as well.

I walk over to him to see what he was making. Eggs?

"Dad I have a nail appointment and some errands to run please don't burn the house down"

"Ryan it's eggs! Would you relax? I got this"

I looked down at my phone and seen that Nino was now texting me, he must be outside. I ran upstairs to grab my wallet and headed back downstairs.

"Seriously dad order a pizza." I said walking out the door.

Walking up to the car I seen a huge smirk spread across Nino face.

"There she go , the girl who went ghost on a nigga wassuppp!?" Nino said excitedly rubbing his hands together.

I smiled as I sat down. "I didn't go ghost, I've been with Mikey and he hates when I'm on my phone to much"
