"How weird are you Daniela?" I drop my phone unwillingly. "Damn you. Stop reading my texts!" I pick up my phone and sink into my seat even more. "You're such a creep dude. You don't just read a text over someone's shoulder." He shrugs. "Can't help it. I've been bored for hours." I finish typing out my sentence and put my phone back in my pocket. I turn in my seat and sigh. "True. And to answer your question I think I'm pretty weird. I'm obsessed with fire, I talk to myself at the most awkward times, I talk to inanimate objects, I named my guitars yet can't come up for a simple name for my goddamn fish at home, and you see this piercing-" I turn so he can see my pierced nose. "This little shit, I'm proud of it. I did it myself." He raises an eyebrow. "Yeah. You're pretty weird." I nod. "Gee, thanks!" He gives me that smirk again. "Alright, serious topic now. Where are you staying when you get to Cali?" Shit. I didn't really think it all through. I just kinda hoped to get a room at a hotel or something and take buses. "Ummm..." I don't know how to answer. "Okay good. You don't have plans. Lucky for you I was talking to my friends and I told them about you and what not and they said it's be chill if you could join us." Wow. Lifesaver! "O-Omg you just saved me. I was about to start panicking." I hug him. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He gets out of my grasp. I must have bored him or something cause he walks away as soon as I say that. "Don't forget to flush and don't fall in the toilet if you're going to the bathroom!" He smiles and turns to look at me and gives me the finger. We both get some looks from nearby passengers. Eh, worth it. I plug my headphones in and take this time to actually plan out how I'm gonna surprise the love of my life. "Hmmm... Alright, think Dani. You don't have to worry about looking for a place to stay now." I mutter. "Should I just show up at their house and hope for the best? Should I ask for a ride and show up on a school day and sign them out a little early? Should I even keep it a surprise?" My head starts hurting and I groan. "Goddamn. This is why I don't do the decision making." ..Yet I'm the one in charge in this relationship cx.. I turn the volume up and drown my thoughts out for a while. I see Keenan slouch back into his seat. "Had fun on your little trip?" He laughs and nods. "Yuppers!" I give him a thumbs up and go back to zoning out. I look out the window and stare at the clouds. And I can see some land. We must be getting closer. My heart starts racing again. Sleeping With Siren's song Fly comes on as soon as I see a bird fly nearby. Omg, how this song reminds me of them. "But when you find the thing that matters most, May you never let it go." I place my hand on the window and whisper to myself. "I found them, and I'm never letting them go."
