i really can't stop with the angst can i? come and cry with me please (actually it's kind of bittersweet so you won't cry)

how they would react if you confessed but they didn't feel the same :(

bakugo

he would be shocked at first, especially since you were always shy around him. when you finally told him, he just stopped talking and stared at you. it was quite terrifying actually.

"you what?" he spat.

"i- ... i like you." you managed to say again, your head down due to how ashamed and embarrassed you were.

"tch. dumbass." he walked away, leaving you alone in the room.

you didn't take it well, but you were good at hiding it. your friends knew about what happened and made sure you were eating properly. it took a while until you could talk to bakugo again, and you manged to not cry when looking at him. he didn't really try to talk to you either, he didn't know how to handle the situation so he didn't do anything. which of course did not help, you had hoped for some type of comfort from him but it didn't come. it took a long time but eventually you lost feelings and became friends again.

izuku

poor broccoli haied boy was so sad when you told him, he felt really bad since he didn't like you in that way. it was actually somewhat comforting because he made sure to spend more time with you, to make it up to you and help you feel better. sometimes you would cry alone in your room but it didn't happen a lot, only when things got too much for you. deku always comforted you with hugs, he asked his friends on how he could help you get over it since he knew it was hurting you. you had cursed him for being so caring since it made you love him more, but after a while the feelings slowly went away. you never stopped being friends and you thank him a lot for being there for you.

todoroki

well he was really confused. you had to kind of explain it since he froze and you could practically see a loading sign on his forehead. he felt bad for you so he would often leave small gifts on your desk, it was mainly food since you loved it. he didn't really change other than that, he would hang out with you and the deku squad like before and still acted the same around you. it made you happy that it didn't ruin your friendship, but sometimes you wondered if he even remembered. you got over it when you met someone else.

kirishima

kirishima felt really honored that you liked him but also felt incredibly guilty for not liking you back.

"i like you kirishima..." you admitted, he looked at you in shock and tried to form some words.

"it's okay, you don't have to say you like me too, i just needed to get it off my chest." you smiled sadly and looked at your hands, you had a feeling he didn't like you back.

"i'm so sorry y/n, i didn't know you felt that way, ah i should have payed more attention and-" he started rambling, embarrassed and guilty.

"stop, it's fine." you interrupted, only half lying. "it's okay kiri."

the last thing you wanted was for him to feel bad because of your feelings.

he was your best friend, he hated seeing you so hopeless. he knew how you felt so he did his best to make you happy however he could. he spent more time with you, sometimes he gave you some space so you could process your feelings and not fall for him more. you really were thankful that it didn't affect your friendship and how much he helped you. it was a bit bittersweet, you both knew it. one or two months later, you finally accepted it and lost feelings over time. after that, everything was back to normal. sometimes both of you would joke about it.

denki

you were really scared when you admitted it, and you kind of broke your own heart since you hyped yourself up before telling him. he thought it was a joke at first.

"um... yeah i have a crush on you." you trailed off, it wasn't how you were planning on telling him but at least you got it out.

"pfft- where the hell did that come from?" he laughed. you would always prank each other so he didn't take it seriously.

"i mean it... i'm being serious kami." he looked at your straight face and realized you weren't lying. he was so surprised because you were like him, you flirted with a lot of your friends as a joke. (yes, you learnt that from him)

"oh..." was all be could say, his mind didn't seem to work.

you noticed his lack of response when usually he would have so much to say, you knew his silence was already an answer.

"i'll go now." you said and walked away.

you wanted him to stop you but poor denki was too confused to even move. a few days later he had surprised you by visiting and told you that everything was fine. it made you happy, you had been so worried that you ruined your friendship, you couldn't sleep because of it. denki would make sure to hang out with you like he used to and he would always point out cute guys, it was his way of trying to help you get over him. you appreciated it and eventually, you lost feelings, even then he still tried to get you to date someone.

shinso

shinso was never really good with words, neither were you. so when you finally told him about your feelings, he didn't say anything. you knew he needed time to think about it. you kind of avoided him after that and he didn't make an effort to talk to you. he thought if he gave you space you would get over it sooner. he was right, but you were really hurt during that time. even if it took a shorter time, you were in more pain than you would have been if he comforted you and didn't neglect you. unfortunately it damaged your friendship, it wasn't until about a year later that you became close again. by that time you were dating someone else. you forgave him since you knew he wanted the best for you, even if it hurt.

dabi

he wouldn't really care to be honest, it wouldn't change anything for him. he would find it kind of funny but he didn't act different around you or ignore you. sometimes that was comforting and sometimes it annoyed you. you were really upset at first and wondered why you were so lame but he would make you smile when he told you things like "don't be so upset shortcake, i'm still here aren't i?", he was a bit kinder with you but that only lasted like a week before he was back to his usual self.
