I stared in disbelief at the bold "To be continued," words on my phone. I can't believe that was the end of the update for the novel I was currently reading called, "The Holy Saintess Saves the World."
After a moment of silence, I quickly sat up from my bed and shouted at my phone with fury, "Oh hell no! How dare the author kill off my favorite character Atlas!"
I was beyond pissed. I can't believe I just spent three hours reading this academy romance novel just for my favorite character to die an unjust death!
My poor baby Atlas was innocent!
Atlas was the illegitimate son of Eckhart Archduke as well as the younger brother of one of the male leads named Leo.
Atlas was a lonely boy and no matter what he did, people thought that he was a nuisance. He was mistreated and abused in the Archduke's estate. To make matters even worse, Atlas was shunned since birth due to his dark black hair and ruby red eyes, never once knowing what love is.
People would mock him and call him horrible names such as the cursed child of the Eckhart Estate. This was because they thought that he was the Demon King incarnated just because he had dark black hair and ruby red eyes. Throughout the entire Kingdom, the only record of anyone possessing red eyes or black hair were those belonging to the Demon King Claec.
In various records of the Demon King, it was reported that he was named Claec due to his dark black hair that represented the shade of the dark sky during nighttime. Along with his red eyes that supposedly represented chaos and eternal madness, he was known as the bloodthirsty Demon King who brought suffering to whomever he encountered.
No one knows the origin of the Demon King and how he came to become the Demon King, but what they do know is that the Demon King brought the citizens great suffering before the Great Heroes of Legends banded together to defeat him.
After knowing the whole background behind the reason why Atlas was mistreated, I couldn't help but feel empathy for him. I just wished I could jump into the book to comfort him and tell him he is loved. He is not alone anymore.
Ughhh! I just can't believe the author made Atlas the villain. I mean come on! There must be something wrong with the author!!! Also, how can you make the green tea bitch Grandy the heroine?
Isn't she like a literal demon who has mind control and that's the only reason why the capture targets and everyone loves her? And didn't she fake that she has light magic?
I swear to god, this better be because the author has some kind of amazing plot twist because this isn't it at all!!!
I looked at the comment section, and many people were equally as pissed as I was.
Good, glad to know I was not the only one.
Just then as I looked at my phone, my phone started to glitch.
"Fuck! Do I have a virus?!" I shouted in shock.
Words began to appear on my phone screen.
[Do you wish to save the villain?]
[Yes]
[No]
My eyes widened in astonishment and even though I knew that there was no way it was real, I couldn't help but press [Yes].
Right when I pressed the button, I was blinded by a white light. I closed my eyes tightly and when I felt like the light disappeared, I slowly opened them.
I was in a room and before I could look around, a young man wearing knight attire rushed in.
"Sir Alistair, quick it's time for Young Master's selection!"
'Hold up! What the fuck? Where am I?'
