"This is a mistake, I am going to call and cancel." I said as I sat on my bed trying to find an outfit to wear on my date with Sebastian. My hair and make up were done so all that was left was to find an outfit. My hair was swept off to one side and pinned to stay. It had a slight curl to it.
"It's not! You deserve this! I mean come on it's Sebastian Stan!" Brooke said as she went through my closet to try and find me a cute outfit.
"I haven't been on a date in...well I don't know an exact time frame but it's been awhile." I said and looked at my hands folded in my lap.
"Avery, you need to get out there again. You don't do anything for yourself, only for Levi. I know he is your kid but you cant become a hermit and only do for him." Brooke said and I sighed.
"It just doesn't feel like it's the right time." I said.
"When is the right time, Avery? When Levi moves out and goes to college in 7 years?!" Brooke asked in shock.
"I'm not saying that Brooke, it's just this is a date, not just any date with any old guy, its Sebastian Stan! I mean the day we went out to the fair was great but what if that was a one-time thing?" I asked and Brooke groaned from the closet.
"Stop it Avery. Again, you deserve this and even if by some off chance it doesn't work out, you got back out there." Brooke said and I shook my head in shock as she came out of my closet holding a couple of hangers with outfits on them.
"Did he say where you were going or what you were doing?" Brooke asked.
"He said a nice dinner, he wants us to get to know each other." I said and Brooke smiled.
"Well, I think this will be perfect." Brooke said holding up a jumpsuit I bought on a whim months ago. It was wide legged, tank top style, low cut, lace bodice on the sides and back in burgundy. I smiled and grabbed the hanger from her.
"I think it's perfect." I said. I went to head into my connecting bathroom I heard Levi rush into the main bathroom.
"What was that about?" I asked and I rushed out of my room and to the bathroom he was in.
"Levi?" I asked since the door was shut. I heard him throwing up. I opened the door and walked in kneeling beside him.
"I'm sorry mom." Levi said and I rubbed his back as he got sick.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I didn't want to get sick on your date night. I still want you to go." Levi said and I shook my head and looked back at Brooke.
"Can you get me my phone?" I asked and she looked at me shocked. She did what I asked and brought me my phone from my room. I pulled up a text message.
"You aren't canceling, are you?" Brooke asked as Levi was done being sick but sat by the toilet. I stood up, got him a wet washcloth and he started wiping his mouth.
"Mom, don't cancel." Levi said.
"Sweetie, you are sick. That's more important than a date, I don't care who it's with. I am not going to leave you here sick." I said and Brooke groaned.
"I will be here, he will be fine." Brooke said and I shook my head.
"He is my kid. If Sebastian can't understand my kid is sick then he isn't someone I need to be with." I said. I went back to my phone.
>Hey Sebastian, I am so sorry to do this but Levi is sick and I don't think I should leave him with a sitter. I am sorry to do this to you this close to our date.< I sent off and put my phone back in my pocket of my sweatpants. I helped Levi get back into bed and tucked him in. I placed a waste bin by his bed and walked out with Brooke right behind me the entire time.
