To Bits and Pieces part III

"Spots off!" She landed on her bed and de-transformed. "Feel better?"
"Yeah, I guess."

She took a quick shower and went down for dinner. "We didn't see you come in sweetie." Sabine said as they ate and she told them how she enjoyed the party.

She giggled and brushed it off, "I left earlier before you guys. I just spent a lot of time in the shower."

After dinner, her mind was settled and far from the earlier events of the evening.  She pulled out her phone to check the time and screamed. "8? I have just two hours to get everything ready for Catnoir."

"Isn't two hours a lot?" Tikki asked confused. "Of course not." She sprinted to her closet. "Two hours isn't enough to make it perfect." She searched through the things, throwing them around, "Now where did I put that?" She muttered.

The other kwamis played around while some gave her confused looks but Tikki only shrugged, "You sure it's not a date?"

Hearing her words, Marinette tripped and fell on her face that was extremely red. "It's not a date!" She squeaked and stood up. "At least not yet." She murmured and her cheeks darkened before she continued her search.

Tikki could only giggle, to think that minutes ago, she had been freaking out from her almost kiss with Adrien.

"Aha!" She pulled out a wrapped gift and hugged it to her chest. "Now to set up the place." She took a bag, packed a few things that she needed. She packed a blanket, even a few snacks from the bakery. Croissants and passion fruit macarons only. They were his favorite from what he said earlier.

"And one last piece." She ran up the balcony and returned with two roses in her hand, a yellow and a red one.

"What are those?" Tikki wondered as she carefully placed then in a thin small mouthed pink vase.

"You know when I accept roses from Catnoir, I put them up in the balcony whenever I get back. This was from the time we went to New York." She gestured to the yellow rose. "And this..." She twisted the red rose by the stalk.

"It was the day he told me he was in love with me." Her voice reduced a monotone and she sighed sadly. "What's wrong, dear guardian?" Pollen and Tikki flew closer to comfort her.

"I just think...I think he doesn't love me anymore. What if there's someone else and I make a total fool of myself tonight?" She sobbed lightly and both kwamis hugged her cheeks.  "Relax, Marinette. Everything will turn out great. Trust me."

She reluctantly nodded and put the red rose in the vase. "And now don't you have a date to plan?"

"Yes of course! Tikki spots on!" She took everything and jumped out of the balcony.

She landed on a roof next to Eiffel tower and de-transformed. It was their favorite point because the view of the city from there was breathtaking. She dropped the bag and begun arranging.

It took her a while but she was done with Tikki's help too.
"It's perfect." She gushed as she looked at her handwork. "What do you think, Tikki? Do you think he'd like it?"

"Obviously. It kind of looks like you want to ask him to marry you." Tikki giggled but Marinette exploded all shades of red. "You don't think it's too much? Ugh...he's gonna hate it for sure. And then he'll hate me even more and..."

"Calm down, Marinette." The little bug giggled, "I was only kidding, it's just perfect." Marinette let out a breath of relief she wasn't sure she was holding.
