Deja woke up all alone, she felt sure that she had fallen asleep... not alone. There was no sign of a letter or any indication of a farewell. Deja sighed, she was thinking like a typical hopeless romantic she secretly was. How stupid could she be? She thought, she was going to be sent into an arena with him where in the end only one person would live, the moment they get in there he will probably stab her in the back. Literally. But still she foolishly yearned for his arms around her and prayed waking up to a rose and handwritten love letter. Her head was everywhere, it was Deja Vu, she laughed at the thought, oh the irony. One minute she hated Cato, the next she was falling (literally) into his arms, then he was the one to kill, then she was practically begging him to stay the night with her and now, now everything was an utter mess.

After Deja got herself ready she went to the table, no one else was around and even with a table full of the finest foods in all of Panem, Deja felt numb and couldn't eat. People started sitting around the table and helped themselves, chatting about the Gamemaker's assesment, she didn't even listen just sat staring at the empty plate in front of her, ''I guess we best be going, don't want to keep the Gamemakers waiting.'' Cato said emotionlessly, bringing Deja to her senses, ''Why are you coming?" She snapped, ''In case you forgot, this isn't all about you and I am going in the games. With you.'' The last part he said almost as if it was a threat, Deja shut up and followed Cato and Lucus out to the elevator with her head down, in the elevator Lucus and Cato were talking and laughing while Deja just stared blankly at them as they completely ignored her presence. They were escorted to a full room full of tributes and mentors, Deja recognized a few, the famous with thee ladies FInnick and the famously gorgeous Gloss. Victor was called, then Gloss, then Lilliana, then Lucus, leaving Deja and Cato sitting silent and awkwardly while everyone else in the room chatted. ''When we get in the games-'' Cato started but was interrupted by his name being called, he groaned and stalked off. After about 20 minutes Deja's name was called.

Deja entered the oh so familiar Training, all eyes were peeled on her and Seneca stroked his abstract beard, examining her. The weapon section had already seemed very well used, Deja stood like an idiot, observing her options, she didn't feel like making a fool out of herself in the weapons so she perched herself down the paint section and grabbed a selection of colours and a canvas. She sat for a good hour humming and painting, the Gamemakers watched her, mesmerised by the passion she put into her paining. When she was done she thanked the Gamemakers and left them with the painting that depicted two silhouettes in front of a beautiful orange sunset, one standing and holding the other in their arms, a blood drenched sword lying in the grass, the Gamemakers didn't understand it but didn't think into it and just admired it's beauty.

As soon as Deja walked out of the centre she knew she'd blown it, one of her last chances to get sponsors and she'd painted a vision of her dreams. Idiot, she taunted herself as she banged her head on the elevator doors. The doors opened and she was welcomed to an unwelcoming Cato. ''I was sent to get you! You was in there for over an hour! We waited for you to start eating! Is it possible to stop being so selfish for once?!" He shouted at her, she was already on the brink of tears and he just gave her the push she did not need. She caught him off guard when she pushed him out of the way and ran into the elevator, she pressed the 2 button and collapsed to the floor, hoping the doors would close before Cato could get in, as they were half shut he put half his body in and forced the door open, looking down at the sobbing Deja on the floor, he felt a pang of care then put it aside, remembering she was the enemy and he couldn't care. ''Get up, you're pathetic!" He said, grabbing her arm, she pushed him away and got up, wiping away her tears, ''You're a bipolar monster!" She screamed in his face, Cato laughed then grabbed her by the throat, not roughly but it wasn't gentle either, he pushed her against the glass wall, ''I am the sickest monster you will ever meet and I am going to enjoy going back into the arena, I am going to enjoy ripping apart every single one of those tributes and my old friends! I am the sickest creation of the Capitol!" He said darkly in her ear then used his thumb to turn her head towards him, pulling her into a deep kiss, it was passionate and controlling and nothing like their previous sweet kisses, she couldn't do anything but respond, she had gone without his touch for too long and it had been killing her, he pulled away and they stood breathlessly as Cato finished his little speech, ''And you've fallen for him.'' He spat, it wasn't a question, it was a statement, a true statement. She stood, breathless and numb as he released her and walked out the moment the elevator doors re-opened on floor 2.

They all sat on the sofa, staring silently at the TV, Deja on one end of the room and Cato on the other. Deja sat hugging her legs with her head resting sideways on her knees, Cato sat straight and tall, he frequently looked towards Deja and felt a pain in his heart when he saw how sad she looked, all because of him. Regret poured in and Cato tried his hardest to push it aside and focus on the training scores. Deja touched her lips, missing Cato's even if he only done it to prove a point, he told the truth, she had feeling for him that did not match his. She didn't have strong hatred. It took all her willpower not to look at his perfect face and his perfect features, Caesar Flickerman's voice appeared along with his blood red hair and deep red suit, he had gone for red to go along with the upcoming bloodshed. She heard Victor had got a Ten, something about Lilliana getting an eight, Lucus getting a nine... ''Cato from District Two with... A stunning eleven!" The room burst into cheer and Cato made a little fist pump, ''Deja from District Two...'' The whole room burst into silence and Deja shut her eyes preparing to hear the dreaded one... ''Ten!" Her eyes snapped open and she had to look at the screen to know if it was true, it was. Everyone was cheering and congratulating her. All but one.
