Chapter 3 - Graduation

Me, Thrawn, and Eli were wandering the parade ground. "That was very impressive (F/N)" Thrawn remarked "I could say the same Thrawn" I said. "Why did you join the Empire? Eli said. But before I could reply I sensed a disturbance in the force. Thrawn pushed Eli away, I ignited my saber as I saw a group of hooded attackers run for us. One of them tried to punch me but I sliced his hand off with my lightsaber. He screamed, "Behold my infinite might!" You shouted as you unveiled sith lightning upon your attackers. Then after Thrawn kicked the attacker he was fighting they retreated. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking? You asked Thrawn "I am" he replied. Then Eli ran over with a squad of Shocktroopers "I got the guard, are you both alright?" He panted in his wild space accent. I and Thrawn looked at each other then Thrawn said "Yes Eli, we're quite alright."

An hour later I was waiting outside the Commandant's office when Thrawn and Eli came out. "The attackers were the cadets we encountered at the card game," Thrawn said. "I figured as much," I replied. "You know Thrawn I think you might make it through these three months."

And three months past and I woke up from the day after I graduated, Hal and Gallar both graduated alongside Thrawn and Eli. I woke up to find a note. It was from Hal and Gallar saying: 'Hey (F/N), we've already left for our new posts, wish you well. Hal and Gallar. I wished them well as well. Then I noticed my holocom going off. I activated it to reveal a hologram of the Emperor. I kneeled. "My boy come to my Palace," he said in his deep, dark voice. "At once my Emperor." I put on my red tunic. I decided to visit Deenlark before I went.

I knocked on the door. "Enter!" I heard him say. I opened the door "Ah (F/N), leaving so soon?" "Yes, I'm headed for the Palace. The Emperor has requested my presence." I said. "Glad to see someone appreciates your talents." "Farewell sir" I saluted and he saluted back.

I arrived at the Palace and I was approached by 2 Royal Guards.

Follow us one said. I followed them into the throne room where the Emperor was waiting.

"My dear boy. You've arrived" he exclaimed. "Well, I would never disobey an order from my Emperor." "Good, good. Now, my boy, I have something for you." He produced a rank plaque from his cloak. But it was nothing like any other."I pronounce you, Commissar of the Galactic Empire. You will have complete authority over the Empire, except for me of course. You better put on your new uniform, meet me here in the afternoon." "Yes my Emperor" I said.

I went into the adjacent room and put on my new uniform.

I went into the corridor and was greated by my Emperor. "Magnificent, truly worth of your status." "I'm  honoured" I said. "Now my command ship, the Eclipse, is no longer in use as  I don't use it. I'm giving it to you. Its the latest ship in the Imperial Navy, armed with 50 squadrons of fighters, multiple turbolasers and a coaxial superlaser. Now, Commissar, your shuttle is waiting. I bowed and made my way to the hanger. I was almost in shock, so much, in so little time.

As I went to the hanger, I was approached by an Upsilon class shuttle. Guarded by 2 deathtroopers.

Then one with a pauldron approached me and said "Sir we are your escort, what is our destination?" He was referring to the shuttle. "Set course for the Eclipse." We went inside and the ship lifted up from the atmosphere as its wings spread out. I then caught site of the Eclipse, it was massive.

When we landed we greated by a parade of Imperial troopers, officers and staff. The ramp of the shuttle descended and I was greated by the ship's captain. Flanked by my deathtrooper escort I talked to the captain, he said how he was proud to serve me and all that. He then lead me to the ship's bridge. It was bustling with activity, I approached the viewport as I observed the darkness of space. This is where I was supposed to be, this is where I belong.
