Felix POV
It's weekend, rest day. We're free. Grabe itong week nakakapagod. Nandito kami ngayon sa kwarto ni Maddi. Ganito naman lagi eh, minsan sa condo ko kami nakatambay minsan dito sa boarding house niya.
Nakahiga lang ako sa kama niya, habang si Maddi naman nasa tapat ng laptop niya. Then I saw her, guitar.
"Meron ka palang gitara" sabi ko. I know how to play a guitar, nasa states ako nun. I was bored that's why I started playing guitar.
"Yes, Dad gave that to me when I was 10" sabi niya. "God, I miss him so much" maiiyak na to pustahan.
"Bakit hindi mo siya dalawin" sabi ko naman. Dami daming paraan eh.
"Dad died when I was 11. Leukemia" diretsa niyang sabi. Shit hindi ko alam.
"Look I'm sorry Maddi, hindi ko alam" ano ka ba naman Felix.
"No, that's okay. Naalala ko pa lagi kaming nagjajamming ni papa nun" kitang kita ko kay Maddi kung gano niya na kamiss yung papa niya. "Alam mo ba yung A thousand years?" tanong niya sakin. Nakatitig lang ako sa kanya. Siya naman nakatitig lang sa gitara "Favorite namin ni papa yun eh, yun kasi yung una kong natutunan sa gitara" kwento niya.
"I will play that for you, If you want" alam kong kailngan ako ngayon ni Maddi, minsan lang magdrama to. I started strumming the guitar.
Ngumiti lang siya then she started singing.

Nakapikit lang si Maddi habang kumakanta. Tears from her eyes started to fall. Ngayon ko lang siyang narinig na kumanta ng malumanay. Kasi nasanay ako na upbeat yung mga kanta niya masasaya. But then hindi ko maiwasang maawa sa kanya ngayon. Seeing her like this hindi ako sanay.
"Maddi" bulong ko sa kanya. She just smile at me.

After the last line of the song. She hugged me so tight "I miss him so badly" bulong niya sakin while sobbing. "People cry. not because there weak. It's because they've been strong for too long" bulong ko sa kanya. "No matter what happen, I'm always here Maddi" dagdag ko pa.
"Thank you for always being there, Felix" sabi niya "This means so much to me".
I started strumming again and I sing " I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love's suicide I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life~ Kinanta ko yun papikit pikit pa.
Maddi start laughing "Hahaha. Parang lalo kong naiyak dun." habang tumatawa pa din.
"Hindi ako sanay ng malungkot ka Maddi...." sabi ko sa knya and I cupped her face
...I like that feeling that I get when I see you smiling" sabi ko sa kanya. Nakatitig lang ako sa kanya. "Tsaka ang chaka mo habang umiiyak! kaloka" She didn't say anything. She just smile. Smile that really melts my heart.
