Marks pov:
Today was the day, the love of my life would pin me as a Sargent in the United States Marine Corps. Her mother and mother's boyfriend would also be in attendance. Alesia and chase would be too, he too was making Sargent. I was so nervous. My mother and father would be coming as well but I didn't tell Caitlin because she already was a nervous wreck.

I didn't talk much about my parents but it was mostly because I left home on bad terms. They weren't having it that I was joining. When they learned about my injuries my mom was a wreck. She said she tried to tell me this wouldn't have happened if I would've just listened to them. It hurt. I just wanted to make them proud but they never were. Today I hope would be different. I hope they'll be proud that I've found a girl. And that I'm moving up in the military.

I slid on my pants and then my blouse. Looking in the mirror as I buttoned up my blouse. I felt proud of myself. I just hope I make everyone else proud. I fixed my hair and grabbed my cover. I grabbed my phone and sent everyone a text.

Me: go to the place as directed and I will see you soon. Thanks for taking the time to come.

I slid my phone into my pocket and heard a knock on my door. I walked over and opened it seeing Meyer dressed up as well. I smiled widely. "Well if I wasn't gay I sure am now." I joked and we both laughed. Even though I've seen him in cammies for nine months straight in them something about a brand new pair always looked so fresh. He gave me a quick hug and stepped back.

"You ready brother? The girls should already be there." I nodded and walked out placing my cover on my head. "Always ready man." He smiled his pearly teeth and me and I could've sworn they sparkled. We walked together to his car and got in. We drove in a peaceful silence until Meyer spoke up. "Listen, I need you to promise me something. If anything ever happens to us, you'll take care of my girls." I nodded and looked at him. "Chase nothing's gonna happen and I won't let it either." He looked at me with uncertainty. "It's just getting bad out there Mark.. I wish I would've stayed off this op. Everything is getting more real. Alesia is almost four months pregnant and I leave here in a month and a half. You leave two after me."

I grabbed his shoulder. "I'll always take care of our girls no matter what." I promised him. His expression softened and he looked relieved.

We pulled up to the building where today events would take place. Me and chase looked at each other and broke into some wide grins. Hopping out we walked towards the building. "I always feel so good in uniform even though it's so uncomfortable in this heat." I laughed softly and grabbed the door for him. We walked in and were greeted by our gunny and LT. "Killers, looking sharp." Our gunny commented.

"Thank you gunny." Me and chase said together. We let out a short laugh before gunny briefed me. After he finished I smiled. "Let's get this going."

The men headed into the main room and chase brought our girls in. Alesia had a small bump showing and was glowing. My eyes moved to Caitlin and I smiled like a child at her. She moved quickly and smiled softly at me. She looked so beautiful in whatever she was wearing. Today it was a white fitting dress and black heels. So damn beautiful.

"Hello beautiful, ready to pin me?" I asked with a smirk. She slapped me playfully and giggled. "Oh you wish." She glanced back at the door and back at me. "Did I see your parents in there or am I crazy?" I smiled and shook my head. "You're not crazy love. That's them. I didn't tell you because I didn't want you stressing. I'll introduce you after we're finished alright?" She nodded and gave a small kiss on my cheek. She stepped back and did a lil wave before walking out with Alesia.

"Oh you're gone." Chase nudged me and I smiled. "What makes you think that." He laughed and clapped my back. "That smile.." I looked at him and smiled more than I thought I could. "I love you brother." He smiled and blew a kiss at me.
