|Caiden's POV|

Monday rolled around too quickly, I walked Mollie home Friday night and didn't realise that that was the last time I would see her that weekend. She went completely off the grid, Lexi hadn't even heard from her
Leaning against the lockers while everyone spoke amongst themselves before I overheard Lexi's conversation with Kyle
"She was safe the that is the important part" she smiled, she then clocked I was looking at her
"You okay Caiden?" she then asked
"Yeah, I was just listening in, you know the usual" I said making her roll her eyes
"Mollie is okay" She smiled at me
"How do you know?" I asked
"Because I know where she went now" she replied earning a confused look from me, she chuckled and took out her phone loading up Instagram

"What am I looking at?" I asked curiously"That is Mollie and that is Jenn" Kyle said pointing out each girl"Jenn is her sister" Lexi said filling in the blanks"She went up to her sisters college Friday night after you took her home" Lexi said"Her ...

"What am I looking at?" I asked curiously
"That is Mollie and that is Jenn" Kyle said pointing out each girl
"Jenn is her sister" Lexi said filling in the blanks
"She went up to her sisters college Friday night after you took her home" Lexi said
"Her sister is her saving grace, ain't nobody closer then the pair of them" Kyle laughed making Lexi smile
"I wish Maisie and I were close like that" She said, as she continued to speak about the childhood antics her and Maisie went through I noticed Mollie, she was walking by with her head held high, she briefly looked over at me and smiled before continuing
That girl is the most confusing thing I've ever dealt with but yet I can't help but want to know more

|Mollie's POV |

"hello Miss MIA" Caiden said walking into our first lesson that morning, I rolled my eyes at him but smiled
"good morning to you too Caiden, surprised to see you here before the bell" I smirked at him making him chuckle
"Touché Mollie Touché" he said putting his bag down, not even bothering to get hid notebook out or anything
"Alright class" Mr Matthews said as he began class
For the first time I've ever seen, Caiden managed to stay silent the entire class
"Oh Caiden, I didn't realise you were here" Mr Matthews said we were starting to leave
"Why thankyou sir!" He chuckled
"Can we have a word?" Mr Matthews said to him before turning to me, I looked at Caiden before nodding and leaving
I don't know why but I found myself stood by the door wanting to know what was going on, it was none of my business but yet here I am
"Listen Caiden, you are a bright boy. We both know you are but your grades are bad. If you want to graduate with your class this year, you need to make some huge changes and you need to make them now" Mr Matthews said, my jaw dropped a little. I know I have never seen the boy do any sort of work but I thought it was the case of although he plays it calls he's secretly getting A's but I guess I was wrong
"I don't really know what to say Mr Matthews, clearly nothing I do works so what is the point? I'm gonna fail regardless it seems" I heard Caiden say, I won't lie it broke my heart a little, I had no idea that Caiden would feel that way
"You just need some motivation Caiden, I'm hoping graduating is enough" Was all I needed to hear from Mr Matthews to put my plan into action
Part of me couldn't care if Caiden graduated, in that part of my head it doesn't concern me why should I care but the other part of me, the stronger part it would seem, wants to help and I know just how to motivate him

Caiden came out of the class a few minutes later after they began to continue to work through a plan, I swiftly moved to the other wall as to seem I wasn't listening
"That wasn't as smooth as you think it was" Caiden laughed seeing me
"you heard it all didn't you" He said, I sighed and nodded
"Why did you wait anyway?" he continued to question
"Enough questions, this isn't 50 questions" I said making him chuckle
"So you know my secret Mollie. I'm failing out of school, I'll be the dead beat this town assumes I am" He confessed, I looked at him and could see the hurt and vulnerability in his eyes
"Still want that date?" I offered making his smirk take over and his eye brow raise
"Now would this be a pity date?" he asked leaning against the wall next to me
"No, there are some conditions" I said
"What would those be Mollie" He smirked
"You have to get at least a 92 on Mr Matthews test on Thursday" I said and he looked me up and down
"A 92?" He asked
"No less then a 92" I replied and he smirked again
"Deal" He said holding out his hand, I chuckled before shaking it
"Good luck" I replied
"Oh I don't need luck, just needed the right motivation" He smirked making me roll my eyes
